2020 has been a long year.

On this note, the web services provider Yahoo has recorded its most searched movies and TV shows in 2020 and has formed a list of the top 10 most searched.
Shoutout to all the Tarak Mehta Ka Ulta Chashma fans, the sitcom started in 2008, becomes the ‘most-searched’ movie/TV show in 2020.

As per the list of top 10 most searched TV Show/Movie searched on Yahoo in 2020, late actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s last film, Dil Bechara holds the 3rd spot.
The romantic drama, which was released on the OTT platform Disney+Hotstar, broke viewership records for the online platform, in just less than 24 hours of the movie’s release.
Yahoo also reported that Sushant Singh Rajput was the most searched celebrity of 2020.
Yahoo’s List of ‘Top 10’ Shows/Movies
Yahoo unveiled its ‘Top 10’ list last week on Tuesday.
Amazon’s flagship Indian series Mirzapur, which released its highly awaited 2nd season this year, was the 10th most searched show on Yahoo.
#9. Shakuntala Devi
The true story movie revolving around the Indian mathematics genius Shakuntala Devi, starring Vidya Balan, released on Amazon Prime Video was ranked at the 9th position.
#8. Street Dancer 3D
Remo D’Souza’s dance film Street Dancer 3D, released on January 2020, stood at the 8th position in Yahoo’s list.
#7. Bigg Boss
Nothing is ‘too much’ for the Indian reality show Big Boss. Currently streaming its 14th season, the Salman Khan hosted reality show Big Boss, has always been intently and wholly watched and appreciated by the Indian audience.
Yahoo searches have revealed that in this pandemic induced lockdown, Big Boss fans have not only been heavily indulged in the ongoing season but also have viewed episodes from the older seasons.
#6. Baaghi 3
Tiger Shroff’s action film Baaghi 3, of the Baaghi series, has been the 6th most searched film/show on Yahoo.
The film, which ended up making Rs 93 crore at the box office was anticipated to make much more.
#5. The Kapil Sharma Show
Back in the most watched list, the Kapil Sharma Show has been a ‘Hasne ki Wajah’ in this excruciatingly ugly pandemic period.
Ramanand Sagar’s Ramayana, originally aired from January 25 to July 31 in 1988 was aired again in 2020, first on Doordarshan and then on public demand, on Star Plus.
Not only was it widely watched and admired even after over 3 decades of its original launch, Ramayana was also announced to be the most-watched entertainment show with 7.7 crore viewers on April 16, making it the most-watched show on a single day.

Dil Bechara was possibly the most anticipated film of 2020. It had much to do due to its lead actor, Sushant Singh Rajput’s untimely demise.
Needless to add, fans of the young actor were left all in tears with his last piece of work.
The return of mythological shows on TV during lockdown has turned out to be a masterstroke.
