All About Mi 10 Ultra In 10 Points: The Best Flagship Of 2020?
Xiaomi celebrated 10 years of making smartphones with the special edition Mi 10 Ultra. Mi 10 Ultra is being labelled as the super-premium flagship from Xiaomi which may challenge the newly launched Samsung Galaxy Note 20 series. Redmi K30 Ultra has been unveiled alongside.
In China, the Mi 10 Ultra has been unveiled as the Mi 10 Supreme Commemorative Edition to mark 10 years of Xiaomi.
Mi 10 Ultra features 120Hz refresh rate display, 50W wireless charging and 120W wired fast charging. Around the back, Mi 10 Ultra packs a periscope module with a large 48MP sensor and 120x digital zoom, larger 48MP primary shooter, shorter telephoto unit and a 13mm ultrawide camera.

The Mi 10 Ultra comes with an improved build featuring a curved 6.67-inch Full HD+ OLED display with 10-bit color output. The device offers 120Hz refresh rate accompanied by 240Hz touch sampling for some crisp and smooth display experience.
The HDR 10+ panel on Mi 10 Ultra packs in a 19.5:9 aspect ratio and can reach 800nit peak brightness.
The top left corner has the 20MP selfie snapper with an improved in-display fingerprint reader featuring stereo speakers. At the back the device houses the quad camera setup featuring a 1/1.32” 48MP primary shooter with an F/1.85 lens and OIS.
The device has a 1/2.0” 48MP F/4.1 periscope which brings 5x optical and 120x hybrid zoom. The primary and telephoto lenses support 8K video recording.
The rest of the two cameras are a 20MP ultrawide shooter with 13mm focal length and a 12MP telephoto lens with 2x optical zoom.
Under the hood, the Mi 10 Ultra runs on the Qualcomm flagship, the Snapdragon 865 paired with 8GB, 12GB or 16GB LPDDR5 RAM and 128GB, 256GB and 512GB UFS 3.1 storage.
Mi 10 Ultra has been introduced with LiquidCool 2.0 vapor chamber alongside a six stacked graphite layer combination. This will help the device to keep optimal thermals in check. Also it will help Mi 10 Ultra to control heat due to its super fast charging speeds.
Mi 10 Ultra features Xiaomi’s first-ever 120W Mi Turbo Charge. It’s currently the fastest commercially available charging solution. The company has claimed the device can be filled up to 4,500mAh battery in less than 20 minutes.
The battery cell is said to be a graphene-based lithium-ion battery, a first for Xiaomi. Xiaomi has promised Mi 10 Ultra will still have at least 90 percent capacity after 800 charging cycles.
Wireless charging Mi 10 Ultra is capped at 50W which can fully charge the device from 0 to 100 percent in 40 minutes. The device supports 10W reverse wireless charging. Mi 10 Ultra runs on the latest MIUI 12 skin on top of Android 10.
Xiaomi Mi 10 Ultra will be available in different color combinations: Obsidian Black, Mercury Silver with ceramic backs and a limited Transparent Edition.
Mi 10 Ultra price starts at CNY 5,299 (around Rs 57,100) for the 8GB RAM model with 128GB storage base version. The 8GB RAM model with 256GB storage variant will cost CNY 5,599 (around Rs 60,300).
The 12GB RAM Mi 10 Ultra with 256GB storage will cost CNY 5,999 (around Rs 64,600) and the top-end Mi 10 Ultra 16GB RAM model with 512GB storage arlt CNY 6,999 (around Rs 75,370). Mi 10 Ultra sales in China to start on August 16.
Mi 10 Ultra global launch and international availability is yet to be confirmed. The company may hold another launch event to unveil Mi 10 Ultra in the global market.
