Rapper superstar Badhsaah has admitted that he spent Rs 75 lakh to gain fake followers on his social media profiles.

This is a big reveal and shocking reality of today’s age of digital celebrities.

Badshah Spent Rs 72 Lakh For Fake Followers, Views

On Friday, rapper Badshah admitted to Crime Intelligence Unit (CIU) that he spent Rs 72 lakh for gaining fake followers and fake views for his new song.

He was interrogated for more than 10 hours, related to the scam of getting fake followers by celebrities.

As per the confession recorded, Badshah attempted to promote his new music album and songs by getting fake followers and fake views.

As per reports, Badshah spent Rs 72 lakh for getting 7.2 crore views for his Pagal Hai song, and wished to break world record for maximum views in the 1st 24 hours.

Nandkumar Thakur, deputy commissioner of police to Mumbai Mirror, “The singer confessed that he wanted to set a world record for most number of viewers in 24 hours on YouTube. That is why he paid Rs 72 lakh to this company.”

Badshah’s original name is Aditya Prateek Singh Sisodia, and he started rapping alongside Yo Yo Honey Singh in 2006. In 2012, he split up, and starting launching his own albums and became a superstar with several blockbuster hits.

As of now, Badshah has 59 lakh followers on Instagram, 59 lakh fans on Facebook and 29 lakh followers on Twitter.

Now, since he has admitted of getting fake followers, we really don’t how many of them real.

Badshah has refused this claim, and have said, “Following the summons, I have spoken to the Mumbai Police. I have aided the officials in their investigation by cooperating and carrying out the due diligence on my part. I’ve categorically denied all the allegations levelled against me and made it clear that I was never involved in such practices, nor do I condone them. The investigation procedure is being executed in accordance with the law and I have complete faith in the authorities, who are handling this matter. I’d like to thank all those who have conveyed their concern to me. It means a lot to me.”

The Big Scam of Fake Followers

Last month, Mumbai Police shocked the nation by revealing a big, massive scam of fake followers and fake views rampant in the social media world.

As per the scam, celebrities, actors, TV personalities spend crores of rupees to get fake followers and fake views, and create a fake image for their fans.

Mumbai Police has already summoned RJ and actor Roshan Abbas and Gaurav Kapur, former IPL commentator for investigation.

More than 100 celebrities including  Priyanka Chopra and Deepika Padukone are under the radar.
