Lazy, Corrupt Govt Employees Over 50 Years Will Be Forcefully Retired Under These Sections?
As per leading news media house Lokmat, Govt is all set to forcefully retire corrupt, and lazy Govt employees over 50 years of age.
Note here, that news about retiring Govt employees at 50 years was going round in the month of April, which was refuted by PIB, but no official statement had come in.
What is the truth here?
Lazy, Corrupt Govt Employees Over 50 Years Will Be Retired?
As per a new report published by Lokmat, Govt is all set to invoke Section FR 56(J)/ Rules-48 of CCS (Pension) Rules – 1972, and forcefully retire Govt employees above 50 years.
However, the report mentions that the first priority of invoking this retirement rule will be Govt employees who are lazy and corrupt.
Category A, B and C employees under Govt will be considered for this move.
As per this section of pension rule, Govt employees who are above 50 years, and have completed 30 years of service can be forcefully retired, in case evidence of corruption and laziness has been proved.
Now, the question arises, how will the Govt determine such officers and employees?
Govt Tracking, Monitoring Employees
As per the report by Lokmat, Govt has been tracking and monitoring such corrupt and lazy officers and employees since last two years.
Every third month, a report is being prepared and shared with the Govt over the status of such corrupt and lazy Govt employees.
As per the report, due to the coronavirus impact, Govt hasnt been able to implement the same.
But PIB Had Refuted This News Earlier
In the month of April, several news reports emerged that Govt is all set to reduce retirement age to 50 years.
PIB had refuted this news, and had informed that Govt is not reducing retirement age.
Now, it will be interesting to observe how Govt responds to this recent development.
We will keep you updated, as more details come in.
