Redmi K40, Mi A4 could be coming soon. Spotted on a certification site, a mysterious Xiaomi smartphone is leaked with a similar model number as the predecessors in the series: Redmi K30 and Mi CC9 (launched in India as Mi A3). The spotted device could be the upcoming Redmi K40 or Mi CC10 (which will come to India as a rebranded Mi A4 later).
Redmi K30 was unveiled last year, while the upcoming Redmi K40 could be Poco X3 in India.
The company launched a remodelled Redmi K30 in India under the Poco brand as Poco X2, and the next Poco X3 could be a remodelled Redmi K40 as well.
The new smartphone spotted online could be Redmi K40 as more details are being revealed. But some sources hint at being the upcoming Mi CC10 smartphone which was recently leaked with Snapdragon 775G and 108MP powered 120x zoom camera. Mi CC10 will come to India as a rebranded Mi A4.
Redmi K40, Mi CC10 Leaked: Poco X3, Mi A4 For India?
The leaked Xiaomi smartphone has a model number M2006J10C. It was spotted on the Chinese 3C certification site, the device confirms MDY-11-EX charger, a 33W power brick to be bundled with the upcoming Mi smartphone. Currently the same 33W charger in India is offered with Redmi Note 9 Pro and Poco X2.
The recently unveiled Redmi K30 Pro also packs in the same 33W fast charging brick inside the box, which will soon be coming to India as a rebranded Poco F2 Pro / Poco X2 Pro.
The leak hints at the device being the successor, Redmi K40. The predecessor Redmi K30 offers a similar fast charging technology. Xiaomi is currently following a 6-month gap between two Redmi K-series devices.
The alleged Redmi K40 could be the upcoming Xiaomi Mi CC10 as well. The device bears the codename ‘CAS’.
Mi CC10 smartphone recently was spotted online giving out some key details. The device has been claimed to come with a 108-megapixel Samsung HM2 camera sensor, periscope lens with 12x optical zoom and 120x digital zoom. Mi CC10 will be powered by Snapdragon 775G.

Mi CC10 will succeed the popular Mi CC9 from last year, and this time it’s going to be a 5G-enabled mid-range phone running on some top-end beefed up features. 33W fast charging support confirms the presence of a big battery with the 33W charger to be shipped alongside.
It’s Mi CC10, which may launch in India as Mi A4 with the new 108MP sensor. It’s not going to be the Samsung HM1 sensor on Mi CC9 Pro or Mi 10 series. Mi A4 will come with the upcoming Samsung HM2 sensor.
Mi A4 or Mi CC10 will support up to 120x digital zoom and 12x optical zoom. In comparison, Mi CC9 Pro / Mi Note 10 and the latest Mi 10 Lite Zoom Edition only support 5x optical zoom and up to 50x digital zoom. The Mi CC 10 could be a periscope lens and the new 108MP camera lens to achieve the same.
The Mi CC10 specifications tipped include Snapdragon 775G chipset chip with 5G support. Mi A4 will come with 5G support on dual modes. Mi A3 came with Snapdragon 665 SoC, and the upcoming Mi A4 is expected to feature an enhanced chip.
Coming to Mi A4 software, it will run on the latest version of Android. Being an Android One device, it’s expected to run on the upcoming Android 11 offering stock experience.
Snapdragon 775G chipset is going to be an upgraded version of the current mid-range Qualcomm 5G chip, the Snapdragon 765G chip. This chipset will offer 40 percent CPU boost thanks to Cortex-A77 cores and 50 percent GPU boost as well.
The leaked phone could either be Mi CC10 or Redmi K40. We need to wait further for some more clarity. But chances are high that the upcoming Redmi K40 could come as Poco X3 in India, while Mi CC10 as Mi A4 later running on Android One.
