It hasn’t been very long since the Prime Minister of the country, Narendra Modi, promoted the citizens to use locally produced goods, and hitting the iron while its hot is Baba Ramdev’s Patanjali Ayurved. 

The company has announced its plans to launch an e-commerce platform, OrderMe, that will deliver Patanjali’s own goods and products to the customers.

Patanjali Ayurved To Launch OrderMe; Set To Compete With Amazon And Flipkart

Patanjali Ayurved will soon be launching an exclusive e-commerce marketplace to supply made-in-India items and swadeshi (indigenous) solutions. The name of this platform will be OrderMe. This platform will clearly compete with some of the leading online e-commerce platforms operating in India, viz., Amazon India and Flipkart.

Patanjali Ayurved managing director and chief executive Acharya Balkrishna has confirmed the news and said that this platform will be Patanjali Ayurved’s contribution to the PM’s “vocal for local” call.

As per Acharya Balkrishna, OrderMe will limit its delivery and endorsing to swadeshi products.  “It is Patanjali’s effort to contribute to our long-standing swadeshi movement by connecting all the local retailers and small shop owners so that those selling swadeshi products can benefit from our platform. They can join the platform and the plan is to deliver their products free of cost.”

Medical Advice, Yoga Tutorials To be Provided On Patanjali’s OrderMe

It will also provide round the clock free medical advice to people who seek it. This will be given by Patanjali’s doctors, which are as much as 1500. In addition, yoga tutorials will also be conducted on this platform. 

Acharya Balkrishna also said that micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) that engage in distributing domestic items are encouraged to join hands with the e-commerce platform by Patanjali and reap benefits. 

The CEO said, “The platform will be launched on a grand scale and depending on response, products will be added.”

The app for Patanjali Ayurved’s OrderMe has been developed by Patanjali’s own information technology company, New Delhi-based Bharuwa Solutions. Also, this app will be launched for both Android and iOS platforms.

As per reports, OrderMe will function along with the current one and will provide 800 items which will be sourced from the Patanjali shops that are close to the buyer. Apparently, it will also enable customers to check out the product catalogues of the other nearby stores as well.
