In one of the biggest price cut for LPG Cylinders ever announced in India, Govt has reduced the price of LPG cylinder by massive Rs 192 for non-subsidized cylinders.

This has happened due to the reduction in global crude oil price, and subsequently, lower cost of production by Indian oil and gas companies.

LPG Cylinder Price Reduced: Current Rates

Here are the current price of LPG cyclinder now, all across the nation:

Delhi: Rs 581.50 for a 14.2-kg cylinder, down from Rs 744 till Thursday

Mumbai: Rs 579 per cylinder for a 14.2 kg cylidner, down from Rs 714.50 till Thursday

Kolkata: Rs 585.50, down from Rs 774.50

Chennai: Rs 569.50, down from Rs 761.50

These are the rate of non-subsidized cylinders, which users can buy after exhausting their quote of 12 cylinders bought at subsidized rates.

Reducing of Rs 192 per cyliner is the maximum reduction in prices, and this happened in Chennai. While in Delhi, the price of LPG cylinder has reduced by Rs 160, on Kolkata, the price has been reduced by Rs 190.

Steepest Price Cut Ever

Earlier to this, the steepest price cut in LPG cylinders was witnessed in January, 2019, when a reduction of Rs 150 was provided in LPG gas cylinders.

This is the 3rd straight month of slashing of price of LPG cylinders in the country.

If we only talk about Delhi, then in the last three months, the price of a 14.2 kg LPG cylinder has been reduced by Rs 277.

Prior to these 3 months, the price of LPG cylinders increased for 6 months straight.

Based on the current price of crude oil, and foreign exchange numbers, Oil Companies revise the price of LPG cylinders on the 1st day of every month.
