In a statement, USCIS has told that they have reached the cap and “randomly selected among the registrations properly selected.”
The next fiscal year starts from October 2020, and the successful applicants and companies can reach US under H1B visa after this date.
Successful H1B Visa Applicants Will Be Notified
The successful applicants will be notified by March 31st. June 30th is the last date for submitting H1B applications for the final step, by successful applicants.
Under the new H-1B Electronic Registration Process, every H1B applicant and companies were required to register with USCIS, and March 20th was the deadline for the same.
The Federal Agency said, “USCIS has received enough electronic registrations during the initial period to reach the FY 2021 H-1B numerical allocations (H-1B cap). We randomly selected from among the registrations properly submitted,”
Highlighting the deadline of March 31st for the H1B application by successful applicants, USCIS said, “We intend to notify petitioners with selected registrations no later than March 31, 2020, that they are eligible to file an H-1B cap-subject petition for the beneficiary named in the applicable selected registration,”
Besides 65,000 H1B visa applications that USCIS has approved, there are an additional 20,000 H1B visa for those, who have completed masters and higher degrees from the US.
