The Price

Redmi 8A Dual price starts at Rs. 6,499 for the base model with 2GB RAM and 32GB storage. The next model has 3GB RAM and 32GB storage, and will be sold at Rs. 6,999. Redmi 8A, also comes in two variants and is priced at Rs. 6,499 for its 2GB RAM + 32GB storage version, while the 3GB RAM + 32GB model is priced at Rs. 6,999. Both the smartphones come with an identical price range.

The Design and Build

Redmi 8A Dual and Redmi 8A have identical dimensions of the two phones as 156.48 x 75.41 x 9.40mm, and have the same weight too i.e. 188 grams.

The Display

Both the smartphones have a 6.22-inch HD+ with a resolution of 720×1520 pixels. The screen of  Redmi 8A Dual as well as Redmi 8A has a water drop notch for the front camera and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 for protection.

The Battery and Charging

The Redmi 8A Dual and the Redmi 8A both come armed with a 5,000mAh battery that supports 18W fast charging. 

The Front Camera

Both the smartphones come with identical front cameras of 8MP and f/2.0 aperture handling the selfies and video calls.

The Redmi 8A Dual and Redmi 8A run on Android Pie with the MIUI custom skin on top.

Both the Redmi 8A Dual and the Redmi 8A are powered with Qualcomm Snapdragon 439 with upto 3GB RAM. Both the smartphones are dual-sim and come packed 32GB of internal storage that can further be expanded via a dedicated microSD card slot.

Both the smartphones are supported by 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS/ A-GPS, USB Type-C, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

Redmi 8A Dual comes equipped with dual lens camera. The primary 13MP camera has an aperture of f/2.2 and the secondary 2MP camera is a depth sensor with an aperture of f/2.4.

Whereas Redmi 8A has a single camera lens of 12MP with an aperture of f/1.8.

The Body Colours

Redmi 8A Dual comes in Midnight Grey, Sea Blue and Sky White colour variants whereas Redmi 8A comes in Midnight Black, Ocean Blue and Sunset Red. colour variants.

Is Redmi 8A Dual worth buying? Yes and No.

The new launch has specs identical to the Redmi 8A. The difference lies in the rear camera department.

The front of Redmi 8A Dual looks identical to Redmi 8A. The difference lies when looked from the rear due to dual camera setup and different body colour variants.

The users looking for a better camera can opt for Redmi 8A Dual over Redmi 8A as you get a smartphone at the same price but with an enhanced rear camera.
