Tata Nexon EV packs in Tata’s latest Ziptron POWERTRAIN technology. Utilising the latest tech, the EV by Tata comes with a 3-phase permanent magnet synchronous motor. It further pairs with an IP67-certified 30.2 kWh lithium-ion battery.

The car comes with an eight-year/1.6 lakh km warranty. The Nexon EV can generate 245 Nm of torque and 129 PS.

It supports automatic transmission which includes different driving modes for seamless experience as Drive mode or Sport mode.

Best Battery For The Price

The EV SUVs in India have been over the 20 lakh price bracket generally, while the latest Tata Nexon EV undercuts it by a hefty margin without comprising much on anything. Battery being a major factor, Tata Motors have probably used the best you can get at this price point.

The cars houses a 30.2 kWh lithium-ion battery with a certified driving range of 312 kilometres on full charge.

Being an EV, there’s no sound inside the cabin nor any vibrations. The car’s more quick in the Sport mode, it can accelerate from 0 to 100kph in less than 10 seconds. The car doesn’t have a conventional gearbox, all you need to do is change the settings.

The top speed on Nexon EV has been electronically limited to 120kph. It saves more battery.

The Tata Nexon EV has been priced strategically under 14 lakhs in the country, and it’s much cheaper than other EV SUVs as Hyundai Kona or MG ZS. With no cars available in the Rs 10-20 lakh bracket, the Tata Nexon EV at Rs 13.99 lakh offers great value for money.

Nexon EV ex-showroom prices start at Rs 13.99 lakh for the entry-level model which goes upto Rs 15.99 lakh.

It’s costly compared to other petrol or diesel cars, but the Nexon EV will have far more shelf life and the maintenance and running costs are very cheap.
