Redmi K20 India Launch Teased; Xiaomi Mocks Realme – Everything You Want To Know About Redmi K20!
With just a couple of weeks away, the country is getting ready to get the first Redmi flagships, K20 series. While Redmi K20 Pro stays in the limelight, we can’t forget the regular Redmi K20. An upcoming smartphone in the upper range budget, K20 will be going up against Realme’s upcoming Realme X smartphone.
Soon after the Realme X confirmation, Xiaomi teased Redmi K20 launch in India with Snapdragon 730.
Launched last month in China, the Redmi K20 series will debut in India next mid-month. The top variant, the Redmi K20 Pro will take on the likes of top entry-level flagships OnePlus 7, Asus 6Z and the regular Redmi K20 will go up against the just-launched Moto One Vision, Samsung Galaxy M40 and the much-hyped upcoming Realme X.
Xiaomi and Realme will again be locking horns against each other in India with Redmi K20 and Realme X respectively.
Redmi Mocks Realme 3 Pro Running On Snapdragon 710: Taking A Jibe At Realme X?
After OnePlus, Xiaomi is now going after Realme to mock Realme 3 Pro. The last smartphone from Realme came with Snapdragon 710 chip, and incidentally the same chip powers Realme X, which will fight Redmi K20 in India with similar features.
Ahead of the launch, the Redmi India shared a teaser on Twitter comparing Redmi K20’s performance on AnTuTu, similar to what it did with Redmi K20 Pro against OnePlus 7 Pro.
The teaser says Redmi K20 is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 730 processor is 40 percent faster compared to Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 processor. The SD 710 chip powers both Realme 3 Pro and Realme X.
Snapdragon 730 on AnTuTu scored 2,18,625. In comparison, Snapdragon 675 scored 1,80,808 and Snapdragon 710 scored 1,55,215 on the benchmarking site.
The teaser also says Redmi will soon launch a device powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 730 processor in the country.
Taking a jibe at Realme directly, the company wants you to know that Redmi K20 is going to be more powerful compared to Realme’s upcoming Realme X in India. Though, Realme is also rumoured to be bringing a new Realme X device to India running on the Snapdragon 730 chip.
Redmi K20 Specs & Features: The New Mid-Range King?
Redmi K20 sports a 3D curved body on the out with a 6.39-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display on top. It has an integrated in-display fingerprint sensor offering 91.9 percent screen-to-body. Redmi K20 is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 730 processor coupled with Adreno 618 GPU.
The Redmi smartphone comes with up to 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB internal storage supporting additional storage.
Coming to optics, Redmi K20 will come with a triple camera system. It comprises of a 48MP primary Sony IMX 582 sensor paired with a 13MP secondary and an 8MP tertiary sensor. Up, it sports a 20MP motorised selfie sensor inside the pop-up camera.
The device runs on Android 9 Pie with the company’s own MIUI 10 skin on top. The whole system is backed by a 4,000mAh battery supporting 18W fast charging technology.
Redmi K20 India Price | Redmi K20 Price In India
Redmi K20 in China has been launched at Yuan 1,999 (around Rs 20,000) for the base variant with 6GB RAM with 64GB storage variant. The mid-end models costs Yuan 2,099 (around Rs 21,000) with 6GB RAM with 128GB storage and finally the top variant with 8GB RAM with 256GB is priced at Yuan 2,599 (around Rs 26,150).
Redmi K20 Pro has already been launched as re-branded Mi 9T in some of the European markets.
Coming to Redmi K20 India price, the smartphone should start somewhere at around 19,000 or 20,000 rupees. The prices are yet to be revealed, but they will be in line with the China prices. The Redmi K20 price in India will also depend on Realme X India pricing and the number of variants launched.
