Weekly Trending Smartphones: Vivo Z1 Pro, Redmi K20 Pro, Moto One Vision, LG W10, Asus 6Z, Galaxy M40
Motorola added a new smartphone to its current set of offerings, Moto One Vision. It directly competes against Samsung’s new M series smartphone, Galaxy M40. Vivo is also launching its own punch-hole display smartphone next week under new Z series, the Z1 Pro.
Xiaomi will unveil the Redmi K20 series in India on July 17 (tentative).
LG plans to follow the same Galaxy M series strategy as its counterpart Samsung with W series to take on the bestselling budget devices. Galaxy M series became an instant hit, and now the Galaxy M devices are competing with the Xiaomi and Realme bestsellers. The first device, LG W10 will go official on June 26.

Vivo Z1 Pro
Vivo will soon be launching an all new Z series in the country, Vivo Z1 Pro being the first smartphone in the series. The company has already confirmed that they will launch the device on July 3 in India and already some of the previews are out. Vivo Z1 Pro will come with an in-display camera on the front as the newly launched Samsung Galaxy M40 and Moto One Vision to offer a higher screen-to-body ratio. The Vivo Z1 Pro is going to be the first Vivo phone in India to come with a punch-hole display.
As per the rumours, Vivo Z5x will launch in India as a rebranded Z1 Pro, though the official confirmation is yet to come. The China edition comes with the same punch hole camera design. The new Vivo Z1 Pro will be the first to come with a Snapdragon 712 processor.
Redmi K20 Pro
Xiaomi is all set to launch its first flagship series under Redmi in the country, the Redmi K20 devices in mid-July: Redmi K20 and Redmi K20 Pro. The Pro model, Redmi K20 Pro recently topped the AnTuTu list to become the world’s fastest smartphone beating all the top flagships available in the market. Redmi K20 Pro runs on the latest Qualcomm flagship processor Snapdragon 855 with upto 12GB of RAM.
The device has a three rear camera system, notch-less display, in-display fingerprint sensor, a pop-up selfie camera with support for the latest Android Q beta version, 4,000mAh battery supporting 27W fast charging.
Motorola One Vision
The just launched Motorola One Vision is the latest to join the trending list. Starting at Rs 19,999, the new Moto device runs on Google’s Android One program offering Pixel-like seamless user interface. Moto One Vision flaunts a 6.3-inch Full HD+ display with 21:9 aspect taller display ratio and 3D Corning Gorilla Glass on the back. Up front, Motorola One Vision has a 25-megapixel selfie camera.
Motorola One Vision is powered by Samsung’s Exynos 9609 processor with 4GB RAM and 128GB built-in storage. The device comes with a 48-megapixel primary camera along with a 5-megapixel secondary sensor on the back. It houses a 3,500mAh battery supporting 15W fast charging technology.
LG W10
LG will unveil its first W series in the country, LG W10. It will launch on June 26 and is expected to come with a 6.2-inch display with a notch on the top. The upcoming budget handset will come with 3GB RAM and 32GB storage variant. There could another variants as well, but it yet to be confirmed. The LG W10 will have a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor running the latest Android 9 Pie OS out of the box.
Under the hood, the LG W10 smartphone will pack in a 12nm octa-core chip clocked at 2.0 GHz, probably Snapdragon 439 SoC.
The smartphone will come with a rear triple camera system, the cheapest so far in the country. The optics information are not out yet, but apart from the main and depth sensor, LG W10 will come with an additional ultra wide-angle lens (speculated). The smartphone will probably backed by a large 4,000mAh battery without any fast charging support.
Samsung Galaxy M40
Samsung Galaxy M40 launched in the country last week, on June 11. Galaxy M40 runs on an octa-core 11nm Snapdragon 675 chip paired with 6GB of RAM and Android 9 Pie based OneUI OS. The Samsung Galaxy M40 features a 6.3-inch Full HD+ TFT display with a 3,500mAh battery supporting 15W fast charging and triple rear cameras including an ultrawide lens and 128GB of internal storage.
Galaxy M40 has a similar body pattern and build as Galaxy M30 with a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor. The smartphone will be available in three colour options: Blue, Orange and Black.
Asus 6Z
The Zenfone 6 from Europe launched in India as Asus 6Z. After the recent court debacle, the Taiwanese company chose to drop the Zenfone name in India. The same Asus Zenfone 6 will launch in the country as Asus 6Z with all the similar specs and features. The dual camera system uses the unique flipping technology to offer a full-screen display in the form of a flippable dual camera module which doubles as a front and rear camera.
Asus 6Z runs on the latest Snapdragon 855 with almost stock ZenUI 6 skin based on Android 9 Pie with a 48MP Sony IMX 586 rear sensor and a massive 5,000mAh battery. Asus 6Z is now available starting at Rs 31,999, to be available via Flipkart.
Google Pixel 4
After the punch-hole design leak, Google Pixel 4 has been leaked again. A new live image is out leaking the whole back design. Google itself revealed the design a few days back. The company will be using multiple lenses this time with Pixel 4. The Google Pixel 4 series would come with an in-display fingerprint scanner, powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 and will run on the latest Android Q paired with up to 6GB RAM.
The new Pixel series will run on the next generation Google Assistant 2.0, which allows users to get access to the virtual assistant even without any internet connectivity.
