This is the season of flagships, and Asus too has jumped into the battlefield, as they have launched Zenfone 6 at an event in Spain.

This way, Zenfone 6 is now directly competing against OnePlus 7, aiming for the premium smartphone market.

Here are the major highlights Asus Zenfone 6, as announced in the launch:

Contents

Snapdragon 855 Processor

One of the main USPs of Zenfone 6 is its incredibly powerful Snapdragon 855 processor and Adreno 640 GPU, which is coupled with either 6GB or 8GB, depending on the variant you select.

The phone will come with 64GB, 128GB and 256GB variants for external memory.

Pop-up Flipping Camera

Asus Zonfone has a pop-up camera, but what makes it innovative is the unique flipping feature, which can give users whooping 180 degrees of wide-angle.

No other smartphone can give this much wide angle, and in fact, except Samsung A80.

There is two lenses in the flipping, pop-up camera: a 48-megapixel main camera (with Sony IMX586 sensor) and a 13-megapixel wide-angle lens, for taking group selfies and panorama shots, and wide-angle portraits, and more.

The camera can flip both front and rear, and can be expanded, and rotated to capture 180 degrees wide angle shots.

This is the single biggest innovation of Asus Zenfone and a big USP.

USP : 3.5 mm Audio Jack & Triple Card Slot

Yes, good news for traditional music lovers, because Asus Zenfone 6 is having the 3.5 mm audio jack, which Oneplus 7 doesn’t have.

There is a triple card slot as well, which means users can put in two SIMs, and a memory card into the smartphone.

And, a regular fingerprint scanner is situated at the rear.

5000 mAh Battery Power

5000 mAh battery is another major update to Zenfone 6, which has some significance as well.

As per the tests conducted, Snapdragon 855 coupled with 5000 mAh battery gives the best performance for power output, and at this moment, no other flagship provides this unique combination.

18W charger accompanies the unit.

There is no IP rating as of now, but Asus claims that the smartphone has some degree of water resistance.

Asus Zenfone 6 will have Android Pie as default, but it can be upgraded to Android Q.
