It has been a busy March. While the year is ending, we have some big launches in the pipeline. April is going to be a lot hotter this year with some top smartphones making their way to the country.
From Realme to Xiaomi, there are some exciting smartphones launching in April.
The smartphone industry has seen a huge boom after Redmi Note 7 and Redmi Note 7 Pro, and the same is being expected to happen after Realme 3 Pro.
While there are several smartphones launching in April in India, let’s begin with the list.

The list has smartphones scheduled and expected to launch in April in India.
Realme 3 Pro
Starting the list with the much-awaited Realme smartphone, the Realme 3 Pro, the company confirmed the launch of the Realme 2 Pro successor at the Realme 3 launch in early March. The company also claimed that Realme 3 Pro is going to be better than Redmi Note 7 Pro, and urged fans to wait for the best. Snapdragon 675 processor has been confirmed, and the company may also include the 48MP Sony IMX 586 sensor.
While Redmi Note 7 Pro is a complete package, Realme will have to come with something really special to beat the Xiaomi flagship killer.
Redmi 7
Xiaomi recently unveiled the seventh generation Redmi smartphone in China. Backed by a decent set of specifications and features, the smartphone has been priced very aggressively. With an 6.3-inch HD+ display housing a dot notch, Redmi 7 runs on Snapdragon 632 and a 4,000mAh battery. The smartphone has MIUI 10 based on Android Pie with a dual camera setup at the back.
The company is yet to comment on the India launch, but Redmi 7 India launch is expected to happen by end of April or early May starting at around Rs 7,000.
Huawei P30
Very recently Huawei unveiled it’s two much-hyped smartphones: Huawei P30 and Huawei P30 Pro. Both are expected to debut in the country by the end of April or May. The smartphones were launched in Paris, France. Coming to the first device, the standard Huawei P30 is going to be exclusively available via Amazon in India. The smartphone runs on a 7nm HiSilicon Kirin 980 octa-core processor with an in-display fingerprint scanner on an AMOLED display.
The smartphone packs in three cameras powered by Leica with 5X hybrid zoom backed by 40W fast charging.
Huawei P30 Pro
Coming to the second and pro variant, the Huawei P30 Pro sports a Leica quad camera setup on the rear with 10X Hybrid Zoom. The smartphone has achieved the highest ever score on DxOMark, making it the current best camera smartphone in the world. Similarly like its sibling, the P30 Pro will also be available in India via Amazon India. The smartphone can capture low light shots with AIS and maximum ISO rating of 409,600 on P30 Pro.
The Huawei P30 Pro comes with 40W wired fast charging and 15W Qi wireless fast charging.
Samsung Galaxy A90
Samsung has a number of smartphones lined up in April. The South Korean tech giant will be unveiling the new Galaxy A90 smartphone on April 10. The Galaxy A90 is going to be a high-end smartphone with a bezel-less display and a pop-up selfie camera. The Galaxy smartphone may get powered by the recently leaked Exynos 9710 octa-core chipset. It’s been built on an 8nm FinFET node process.
The Exynos 9820 SoC from Galaxy S10 uses the same 8nm FinFET node. The Exynos 9710 will be succeeding the popular 10nm Exynos 9610 mid-range chip.
Nokia 9
Recently HMD Global teased the newly launched Nokia 9 for it’s Indian fans. The press invites are expected soon as well. The Nokia 9 PureView smartphone will be unveiled in Taiwan on April 2, with an India launch to follow. Know for its penta-camera setup on the rear, the smartphone will come with five ZEISS lenses. The penta camera setup on the Nokia 9 PureView smartphone comprises of three BGR lenses and two monochrome lenses.
It’s going to be a Android One smartphone running on the latest Android 9.0 Pie out of the box.
OPPO Reno
OPPO will unveil a new smartphone series called Reno on April 10. It is being speculated to come with the much-hyped 10X lossless zoom technology. Oppo Reno has been leaked in two variants with Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 and Snapdragon 710 chipsets respectively. The periscope styled 10X lossless zoom camera is going to be a proprietary feature in the upcoming OPPO Reno smartphones.
Though, the 10x zoom camera technology may be limited to the high-end variant with Snapdragon 855 SoC only, and the SD 710 may only have 5X hybrid zoom (rumoured).
Xiaomi Mi A3
It is being rumoured that Xiaomi will soon launch the Mi A2 successor, the next Xiaomi Android One smartphone. Mi 9X is expected to be remodelled as Mi A3 in India, and leaks suggest it will come with an in-display fingerprint scanner and triple rear cameras. It’s going to run on Snapdragon 675 chip with the 48MP Sony IMX 586 sensor. It will obviously be an Android One smartphone running on Android Pie out of the box.
Mi A4 will have a 32MP selfie camera on the front with dot notch on front. The smartphone may come at a price at around 16,000 to 18,000 rupees.
Redmi Y3
Recently the third generation Redmi Y3 was spotted with a model number M1810F6G and a codename “onc_global”. Redmi Y2 ran on a Snapdragon 625 chipset and Qualcomm Snapdragon 632 similar will be powering the Redmi Y3 (expected). Redmi Y3 is going to be priced under Rs 10,000 in India. The company is yet to officially comment on Redmi Y3, but the launch is expected to happen soon.
In India, Redmi Y3 may come as a remodelled as Redmi 7 Pro, or any other Pro version.
Samsung Galaxy A40
Samsung will soon be launching another Galaxy A smartphone, the Galaxy A40. The smartphone will be officially unveiled on April 10 at an event in Bangkok, Milan, and São Paulo. The Galaxy A40 smartphone will be priced at Euros 249 (around Rs 19,500) for the base model. Samsung Galaxy A40 will come with a 5.9-inch full HD+ AMOLED Infinity-U display, dual rear camera setup with a combination of 16-megapixel and 5-megapixel sensors.
Under the hood, Galaxy A40 will be powered by Samsung’s own in-house Exynos 7885 SoC with 4GB RAM and 64GB of internal storaga running on Android 9.0 Pie out of the box.
