Xiaomi Poco F2 Launch In India: Expected Price, Specs, Leaks & More!

Xiaomi shook up the Indian smartphone market with its Poco brand back in September. The first smartphone in the Pocophone series, Poco F1 was launched at a very competitive price.

It’s also the cheapest Snapdragon 845 smartphone in the world.

Poco F1 has been a huge success, and the next generation Poco F2 is already on the papers with a launch expected in a few quarters. Poco F1 put up a steady competition against popular entry-premium smartphones like OnePlus 6 and Zenfone 5Z.

Xiaomi Poco F2: What We Know So Far!

The Poco F2 has been a part of several leaks, and recently a concept video surfaced on the web claiming a triple rear camera setup. With three cameras at the back, it has an under display fingerprint sensor, water-drop notch and more.

Well, it’s still very early to comment, so take everything with a pinch of salt.

Redmi 7 Pro was spotted on TENAA with a water-drop notch, so we may expect to see a similarly styled notch on Poco F2 as well. If Xiaomi is working on such a notch, they will definitely bring it to it’s other models, as it does every time, repeat the design and parts.

Poco F2 is going to be a budget flagship, so do not expect any luxury features, like glass body, or wireless charging or even an in-display fingerprint sensor. The design will still be standard, but the hardware will definitely be top notch.

As per another leak, Xiaomi will be ditching its IR Face Unlock technology to make space for a smaller notch. The upcoming Poco F2 will come with a dewdrop notch like OnePlus 6T.

Up front, the Poco F2 camera may feature a 16-megapixel front camera with a f/1.9 aperture.

Xiaomi is already working on the second generation Pocophone, as they are looking to launch another model in a few months. The company is expected to follow a similar launch-model as OnePlus.

Poco F2 will again pack in solid hardware. The smartphone is expected to come with the latest Snapdragon 855 chipset, 6.3-inch IPS LCD Full HD+ display in a 19.5:9 format and maybe a tri-camera setup.

It will again come with its standard memory configurations: 6GB/64GB and 8GB/128GB/256 options. The company may also launch a 10GB version owing to the growing RAM space in the market among flagships. It will again pack in a 4,000mAh battery unit backed by Qualcomm fast charging technology.

The Poco F2 India price is expected to around the same as Poco F1. Though, the pricing may see a slight jump this year. Xiaomi may push the prices. The Poco F2 price in India may now start touching the Rs 25,000 category for the base model. The company is expected to follow a similar pricing model as OnePlus for the Poco F2 price in India.

As OnePlus increased their prices with every model in India, Xiaomi may follow a similar strategy. Its last Poco F1 has been extremely successful, so Poco F2 price in India may see a jump.
