After the tremendous success of its first few series in India, Xiaomi is all set to bring it’s next generation Redmi series phones in the country soon. Three new Redmi phones have been spotted together on the 3C website.

All three Redmi smartphones received the certification, hinting at a launch very soon.

Three unnamed Redmi models: M1901F7E, M1901F7T and M1901F7C were spotted. Redmi 6 series had model numbers starting with M18, and the M19 confirms the next Redmi 7 series: Redmi 7A, Redmi 7 and Redmi 7 Pro.

The smartphones already have received the certification from 3C, so Xiaomi is already in the final leg of launching the smartphones.

Redmi 7 Series: Redmi 7A, Redmi 7 & Redmi 7 Pro

Just like its previous generation Redmi series smartphones, the upcoming Redmi 7 series will comprise three smartphones: Redmi 7A, Redmi 7 and Redmi 7 Pro. The leaked report has model numbers: M1901F7E, M1901F7T and M1901F7C certified by China’s 3C on November 29.

The upcoming Redmi 7A, Redmi 7 and Redmi 7 Pro smartphones will be successors to the current Redmi 6A, Redmi 6 and Redmi 6 Pro.

The latest certification hints at no launch for Redmi Note 6 Pro in China. The smartphone which was launched in India recently, Redmi Note 6 Pro will remain exclusive to a few international markets like India and Indonesia except for China.

Xiaomi will skip the Note 6 Pro launch in its home market, and will directly launch Redmi 7A, Redmi 7 and Redmi 7 Pro in China.

Redmi 7 Pro has been leaked on TENAA. The device has been spotted with a  waterdrop-styled notch in a 5.84-Inch display on the TENAA site. The listing has revealed that Redmi 7 Pro will come in a 147.76 x 71.89 x 7.8 mm body with a 5.84-inch display.

It will have a water-drop styled notch, like Realme 2 Pro and Realme U1.

Lastly, it has a 2,900mAh battery with 10W fast charging. A dual camera setup was also spotted at the back with a rear panel fingerprint sensor.

The listing has revealed that the upcoming Redmi 7A, Redmi 7 and Redmi 7 Pro will come with support for 5V/2A charging i.e 10W fast charging. A feature never is seen on the previous generation Redmi 6 series smartphones.

The details of the upcoming Redmi 7 series smartphones are yet to reveal. As far as the specs are concerned, the upcoming smartphones will have an improved hardware, better design and new the latest UI.

In terms of imaging capabilities, the Redmi 7 smartphones may be seen as an upgrade as well.

The notch trend seems to be catching up with Xiaomi, so you can expect to see notches on all the Redmi 7 smartphones. The budget devices may have a wide notch, but the higher end Redmi 7-series device may sport a water drop styled notch.

The Redmi 7 series India launch may happen early next year. Already the Note 5 successor, Redmi Note 6 Pro was launched way before its expected time. Redmi 7A India launch is expected just after the China launch.

The Redmi 7 India launch will happen at the same time. Redmi 7 India launch and Redmi 7 Pro India launch will happen together with Redmi 7A in India.

The Redmi 7 series India price is expected to same as its successors. The prices may alter with the China pricing, depending upon the rupee fluctuation. So, you can expect the Redmi 7 series India price to be below or around 10,000 rupees.

The Redmi 7A India price will be around Rs 6,000 for the base model. The higher variant of the Redmi 7A in India may cost another 1,000 bucks, but not more.

The expected Redmi 7 India price is 8,000. There will be other variants as well, where the Redmi 7 India prices are expected to be around Rs 10,000.

The high-end Redmi 7 Pro India price is expected above Rs 10,000. The Redmi 7 Pro will come with the better specs, so the price will fall in the mid-budget category. The expected Redmi 7 Pro India price of the other variants are being tipped to be around Rs 12,000.

Owing to the growing competition, Xiaomi is facing some tough challenge in the budget segment from companies like Realme and Asus. After permanently reducing the prices of Mi A2 and Poco F1, now it’s Redmi 6A for Xiaomi.

The India price of Redmi 6A slashed to Rs 5,999 for the budget variant.  The company increased the prices last month after the rupee fell badly against the dollar.

With the price cut, now Redmi 6A will now cost Rs 5,999 for its base variant with 2GB of RAM and 16GB storage. The higher variant with 2GB of RAM and 32GB storage will now cost Rs 6,999. The new prices are now effective.
