The upcoming Samsung Galaxy S10 flagship is being tipped to sport a special punch hole-style display on top with three cameras at the back. The Galaxy S10 is expected to unveil at the MWC 2019.
Samsung is working on an Infinity-O display, a screen with a hole. Yes, they call it a hole, and not a notch.
The company is working on a number of cutouts such called the Infinity-U and Infinity-V, all basically a notch styled in U, V or O. On the other hand, the next Mi flagship, Mi 9 has leaked as well, with somewhat a similarly styled notch as S10.
Samsung Galaxy S10: Special Features & New Design Language
It’s going to be the tenth anniversary model of the signature Galaxy S series. The upcoming Galaxy S10 is going to be the tenth iteration in the S series, so the smartphone is expected to come with some new and unique features.
To start with, the Galaxy S10 is being rumored to come with an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor, first for any Samsung device.
To add, a new leak suggests that the Samsung Galaxy S10 will come with a “punch hole” display. A special cut cutout for the selfie camera. Previously it was rumored that the smartphone will have an in-display camera, but the new Infinity designs hint at notches.
The South Korean company is working on a number of display styles called Infinity-U, Infinity-O, and Infinity-V.
Basically a notch, Samsung is trying to put in a trend here with fancy cut out names. The Samsung Infinity cutouts are very similar to what we have earlier seen on typical notches like Tear-drop notch, water-drop notch, circular notch and more.
Galaxy S10 will come with the new software interface called One UI based on Android 9.0 Pie.
The smartphone is expected to come with a triple rear camera setup as we saw on the new 2018 edition of Galaxy A7 recently. The rear tri-camera setup will include a standard sensor, wide-angle sensor, and a telephoto depth sensor.
Xiaomi Mi 9: Tri Camera Setup & Snapdragon 8150
The upcoming Xiaomi Mi 9 has been leaked as well, and surprisingly there’s a lot common in between Mi 9 and Galaxy S10 leaks. Both the smartphones are being rumored to come with circular notches, in-display fingerprint sensors, and rear tri cameras.
The Mi 9 has been tipped to support a triple rear camera setup comprising of a primary 48-megapixel sensor, 13-megapixel wide angle sensor and a 16-megapixel depth sensor.
Also, the Xiaomi Mi 9 may become the first phone to be powered by the upcoming Qualcomm Snapdragon 8150 platform.
According to the leak, the smartphone will come with a 6.4-inch AMOLED display with an in-display fingerprint reader.
With Snapdragon 8150, it may come in three RAM variants of 6GB, 8GB and 10GB equipped with 5G connectivity. The whole package will be backed by a 3,700mAh battery with Quick Charge 5.0 support.
As far as the launch is concerned, the Xiaomi Mi 9 is expected to arrive in the first half of 2019. Coming to Galaxy S10, the device is expected to be unveiled at the MWC 2019.
