Vodafone Challenges Jio With Free Netflix, Free Amazon Prime Subscriptions!
It seems that Jio and Airtel, both will have to redesign their campaigns now!
We have a seen lot of changes in the Indian telecom space since Reliance Jio entered the market.
Recently the Mukesh Ambani-led company made some changes to its existing prepaid packs, and now Jio is offering plans with data as high as 4.5GB per day at Rs 299. If data and free calls were not enough, the companies are now offering over-the-top (OTT) content to attract new subscribers.
Airtel and Reliance Jio both has their own Airtel TV and Jio TV respectively. Also, very recently Airtel has started to offer free Amazon Prime Membership with some of its plans. Vodafone also offered free Netflix subscription with its RED plans on its higher-end plans.
But in its latest addition to the OTT, the company will now offer free 1 year Amazon Prime membership to its RED postpaid customers.

The telcos are offering more and more data, and customers at the same time want variety over content. Reliance Jio already has a bunch of premium applications like Jio Cinema and Jio TV offering a variety of content.

Funny part over here is the network operators those who tried to break net neutrality and tried to rob customer by proposing separate charges for OTT services now wants offer OTT services free of cost without additional charges. :p
All because of Jio. Otherwise they could have robbed all with there pathetic service with additional charges. No one can forget those day. :)
