Where Hotstar was charging others to watch matches on their platform, Jio and Airtel subscribers had free unlimited access to the sporting extravaganza.

Now that the football fever is on, with the football world cup only a day away, Jio’s announcement is sure to have diehard football fans excited. FIFA 2018 is going to be football’s biggest sporting event this year.

Online live streaming of sports is slowly but surely catching on in India. In a cricket-crazy nation like India, one CSK Vs KKR match in IPL 2018 had 55 million people watching it live online!
