Redmi S2 Gets Certified, Awaits Launch; iPhone SE 2 Leaked Online!
The listing has revealed that the smartphone will come with higher-than-budget specifications on board.
After multiple leaks, the Xiaomi Redmi S2 has now been finally spotted on Chinese mobile certification site TENAA. The listing has revealed some key features. The upcoming budget Xiaomi smartphone has also cleared China’s 3C certification at the same time hinting at an imminent launch.
The listing has revealed that the smartphone will come with higher-than-budget specifications on board. The Redmi S2 will sport a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor, an 18:9 widescreen display, two vertically placed cameras at the back and Apple iPhone 7 like antenna bands on the sides.

Redmi S2 – Specifications & Features
The listing on TENAA gave away some key features of the upcoming device, though the full set of specifications are yet to be revealed.
Display
The Redmi S2 will come with a 5.99-inch HD+ display with a screen resolution of 1440 x 720 pixels. It will be an 18:9 widescreen display with minimal bezels on top and bottom.
Hardware
The listing has revealed that the smartphone will come with an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor coupled with 2GB/3GB/4GB of RAM.
Software
The smartphone is expected to come with Android Oreo 8.0 OS under MIUI. But, most probably, the device will run Android Nougat 7.1.1 with MIUI 9 on top.
Storage
The smartphone may come in three storage variants. While the 2GB RAM with 16GB storage variant has already been confirmed, and a 3GB RAM with 32GB storage and 4GB RAM with 64GB storage are expected to follow.
Rear Camera
The Redmi S2 is going to be one of the first smartphones to come with dual cameras at this price point. The rear dual camera setup will have a 12-megapixel primary sensor and a 5-megapixel secondary depth sensor.
Front Camera
At the front, the upcoming Redmi S2 will sport a 5-megapixel selfie camera which will also be used for the face unlock feature.
Connectivity
Redmi S2 will come with dual sim support but will have a hybrid slot for an external MicroSD card. With usual connectivity features, the device will come with all the usual sensors on board.
Battery
The smartphone will pack in a 3,080mAh battery unit which, sadly, won’t support fast-charging.
Price & India Launch
The Redmi S2 is expected to be placed somewhere between Redmi 5 and Redmi Note 5 and will be priced around Rs 10,000.
The device is expected to launch soon, and as per the earlier leak, Redmi S2 will probably launch in India before getting launched in its home market China.

After being initially announced two years back, the iPhone SE was specially launched for the iPhone 5S lovers who did not particularly want to move to a larger screen. The iPhone SE came with the latest processor and features in a familiar iPhone-5S-like body.
A fake video of the newer iPhone SE model with an iPhone X like display was doing rounds on the internet. As per the latest reports, the new iPhone SE 2 will come with a lot of changes, and it will borrow several features from iPhone X – the present Apple flagship.
iPhone SE 2 – Leaked Details
iPhone SE 2 may come with a glass back panel to support wireless charging with a better display this time. It is also expected to retain the 3.5mm headphone jack.
iPhone SE 2 will continue to carry the 4-inch display, but it may expand its bezels this time. The iPhone SE 2 will probably feature Apple A10 Fusion chipset with 2GB of RAM. There will be two variants – a base version of 32GB and a top model of 128GB.
The iPhone SE 2 may also feature a notch at the top with a touch ID sensor and a physical home button at the bottom, just like iPhone 5S.
Coming to the camera, the iPhone SE 2 will come with the same iPhone SE 12 megapixel rear shooter and a 1.2-megapixel front-facing shooter. This time around, the iPhone SE 2 will come with better low light imaging capabilities.
The iPhone SE 2 will come in the usual silver, gold, rose gold and space grey colours. In India, the device is expected to be priced somewhere between Rs 40,000 to Rs 50,000.
