The much talked about Xiaomi Mi 4i has been on sale for 3 weeks now. All the sales that have been conducted till now have been over in few seconds. You need to register first before making purchases at 2pm exclsuively on Flipkart. Check out the Flash dates at the bottom of the page.
As we reported more than 2 weeks back, Xiaomi has unveiled a new Smartphone variant Mi 4i, and based on the specifications and price on offer we can definitely say, this is yet another impressive value for money smartphone right up there with their flagship Mi3.
The specifications of Mi 4i are quite impressive – A 5-inch 1080p full HD display with awesome 441ppi pixel per inch density means the screen is right up there with best.
Under the hood, the Mi 41 is powered by a powerful 64-bit 1.7 GHz Snapdragon 615 CPU Octa-core CPU paired with Adreno 405 GPU supporting OpenGL ES 3.0, which means it can play the heaviest of games without an issue. 2GB of RAM should be more than enough for any kind of multi-tasking you would want to do on this phone. Mi 4i has an internal storage of 16GB which might be stifling for a few because it does not have any external microSD card support, but for most it should be enough!
The rear camera is a 13mp snapper with front 5mp should suffice most photography enthusiasts. Camera adds some nifty features like dual two-tone flash that intelligently assesses room color temperature and emulates natural lighting.
Another thing that most Indians would love is that it is Dual-Sim phone with both SIMs supporting 4G LTE connectivity! Mi 4i also stands out with its humongous 3120 mAh battery that should last you nearly two days even with moderate to high usage!
On the Software front, Mi 4i comes with MIUI 6 which based on Android Lollipop!
All this at a price of Rs. 12,999 – Mi 4i is one of the best smartphone your money can buy.

Last week, Xiaomi sent out media invites to bloggers and journalists across India with a hint that “i IS COMING”. The event is scheduled to be held on April 23rd at Siri Fort Auditorium in Delhi. Xiaomi did not give details of what is going to be launched, but mentioned it is “global Mi phone premiere in New Delhi” clearly pointing to the fact that a new phone will be launched.
This was interesting because, Xiaomi does not have any mobile or device that has letter “i” in it. While some were expecting Mi 5 launch, from the teasers it did not look so.
Finally, it seems that Xiaomi is all set to launch a new and cheaper variant of Mi 4. While there is no official confirmation, a Chinese website MyDrivers.com has spotted a smartphone name Xiaomi Mi 4i on Singapore’s Infocomm Development authority (IDA) database as well as GeekBench.

As per the Geekbench report, the Mi 4i will come with 1.65 GHz Snapdragon 615 Octa-core 64-bit processor, 2GB of RAM and will come with Android 5.0.2 Lollipop out-of-the-box.

Interestingly, few days back GFXBench had leaked specifications for a Xiaomi Smartphone codenamed “Ferrari”. The specifications of Ferrari very nearly match the specifications of Mi 4i, so as far as speculation goes, Mi 4i seems to be pretty much on the dot and given that “i” has been highlighted in the invitation, we are sure that it is going to be Mi 4i that is going to be launched in India.
The display of Mi 4i could be the same sized phone as Mi 4 (5-inch), but will have one-step lower CPU and RAM. The leaked specification of “Ferrari” also pointed that the phone will have 16GB of internal storage, a 13MP rear camera and 5MP front camera.
The Xiaomi flagship Mi4 was launched in India couple of months back priced at Rs. 19,999/-. It has not been as successful as it’s predecessor Mi 3 was in India, due to tough competition from likes of OnePlus One and others. Given that Mi 4i is a slightly watered down version of this phone, we expect it to be sub-15k phone. The most likely price of Mi 4i will be between Rs. 12k to Rs. 15k.
We don’t have to wait much longer – It will be clear on April 23rd!

I got my Mi4i on last sale on flipkart and believe me it’s the rumour that the phone is excellent and they are Mi band with it its bullshit ,yes the display and camera is good at this price tag but there are some cons also . The phones get heated too much i think nearly 50 degrees. It take hell out if me to stick the phone to my ear after using for only half an hour. The speaker quality is worse i have ever seen many of my calls was missed as vibration was off .So my opinion is to go through other opinions also like micromax yu which has been recently launched with almost same specs and much cheaper price range.

buddy, look for zenfone 2. it has a bigger screen and runs real smooth. its been 3 months, no prob so far. no heating issue. nothing.

My budget for smartphone is around 15k.
i have used both the handsets.. mi4i and zenfone2. overall performance wise, zenfone takes the lead as the benchmarks are high in zen. 2. zenfone as such has no heating issues while mi4i has. Expandable storage in zenfone2 works as a honey on top.
in my suggestion, go for zenfone2 or moto g
As per the Media report as mentioned above, the mi Band is free for the mi 4i buyers. I want to know is there any limit on the numbers of the band being given. As you know the flash sale, before we can catch the flash, the sale is closed. So just curious. Please do let me know. I have indeed registered.

remember that yu Yureka with same specs is available for 8999/- so will be surprised if they keep the pricing beyond 10k..
Hmm… In my view it will be more like 12k – Yes, it will compete with Yu Yureka, but my guess they will not price it so low at the launch. Probably 6-9 months down the line it may come down to 10k… Lets see…

I don’t see any chance of launching MI4i at 9K. Who is gonna buy their Redmi Note 4G and other budget phones with lower specifications and pricing around 8-10K? It would be like killing Note 4G in India if the new phone is launched at 9K.
Yes Girish I am aware they won’t price even at 10999 that was my wish.. coz other handsets r now available with same specs at that price and are still selling out in mere seconds…. they should atleast price it max at Mi3 levels.12-13 levels like Arun suggested.
