On April 23rd in 2005 at 8:27pm Jawed Karim, one of the co-founders of Youtube posted first video on Youtube called “Me at The Zoo”. This year is Youtube’s 10th anniversary and over these 10 years, Youtube has gone on to become by far the biggest video site in the world, even probably bigger than all the other sites combined.
Just to give you an idea of Youtube’s ecosystem, here are some stats. It has over 1 billion users uploading at an average 300 hours of videos every minute. 4 billion videos are watched every day and over 6 billion hours of videos are watched every month!
All kinds of videos are uploaded on Youtube, however advertisements uploaded on Youtube are some of the most watched videos till date. In 2014, four of the top ten most-watched videos on YouTube were ads.
On occasion of their tenth anniversary, Youtube wants to pay homage to greatest brand Ad on Youtube. They have created a leaderboard of 20 most popular Youtube ads, and want you to choose the best of them!
