To be honest with you, I generally do not check Yahoo Maps – Infact, it is for the first time in years that I logged into Yahoo Maps. It was only after one of our readers sent me an email showing me the error, did I login to Yahoo Maps.
If you try to look at map of India on Yahoo Maps, it is clearly showing the disputed part of Kashmir as part of Pakistan.

Interestingly, it shows part of Kashmir which is disputed with China separately. If you are not aware, here is the proper breakup of the Disputed and non-disputed borders of Kashmir.
First it was Google Maps, which was showing the Kashmir in Pakistan and now it is Yahoo Maps (I can’t really confirm, if the Yahoo Map is changed recently or whether it was showing like this from the start).
It is seriously high-time that Indian Government puts its foot down and ensures that these kind of sensitive discrepancies are taken care of.. Look at Chinese Government, they have even pressurized Apple to show Arunachal Pradesh as part of China !

Its Jammu and Kashmir. It's owned by India, Pakistan and china. Plus now India and Pakistan are having disputes, because Pakistan destroyed and Indian house and India killed one Pakistani soldier. And china I guess is neutral they just don't give a ….., well anyway that's why it shows it like that.
seriously… Government should think on this matter and should have wordings with both the countries… and our army should be ready to take our country's whole " mukut" back…
India is proving itself as a weak government by not taking advantage of it's large army. Pakistan likes to poke it's nose in India's matters and then claims that Indian lands are their, even though Pakistan IS found on Indian lands.
A full scale war should be declared, otherwise they will take all of Kashmir first, and then whole of Northern India.

Secondly its been a long time since then, and we should really put aside our communal hostilities and consider millions of Kashmiri lives in danger due to us. Not Muslims not Hindus but KASHMIRI lives. I am sure your religion must have something as that of humanity because despite what we are known as in the world Islam commands PEACE! so why not put aside our differences and give hold of Kashmir to UN trusteeship since India and Pakistan are not in a condition to regenerate Kashmir until Kashmir is able to decide her own fate?

How India can do mistake in this issue. We have already partitioned India and given pakistan for muslims. Even we are allowing muslims to stay in India. India is not a Hindu country, whereas pakistan is a muslim country. If kashmiri muslims are not interested to stay in this country, they should go to pakistan. They should not claim for a partition again. India & Pakistan belongs to Hindus. However we have given separate land for muslims. Also even in India we are not asking them to quit from this country. Indian democracy has given lot of privileges to mislims than Hindus. Then what is the purpose for asking freedom in their own country. Some terrorists are behind this issue and asking the muslims to do like this.
u should look into the history and see how india was partitioned.. it was partitioned based on voting.. the state having more of muslims would go to pak.. and da states havin more hindus will remain wid india…. Kashmir along wid bihar.. hyderabad.. are 3 of da many states where muslims won.. and were to be wid pak.. but india manipulated and bribed da britishers and made dese it’s own part… da other states didn’t protest bcz dey were away frm pak.. and even if their protests effected.. they would remain a small body of pak.. threatened of indian attacks… but this was not da case of kashmir… da ppl deir protested on dis unfairty… da conditions and rigths given by hindus to make dem quiet were mayb accepted by da head but not by da population… even da things dat da hindus promised weren’t given to da state… and instead dey were tortured… and datz da reason of da present condition!!

Kashmir belonged to pakistan.., belongs to pakistan and always will!! katrina @, I believe you are tooooo much in history and not reading the daily attacks occurring at kashmir and India each day(supported by Pakistan which of it never admits). Sir, face it. All of Kashmir isn’t with India and we almost converted LoC to international border in Agra talks with Musharraf. I dont have a problem if that happens and this is settled once and for all.

Our central govt. is very busy with corruption like CWG, 3G etc. These serious issues are not important for them. We need a patriotic government to solve these issues.
what is wrong there. any way the people of Kashmir don,t consider India as their country. it is just with us by force. i myself saw on you tube what they did at lal chowk on 15 th august 2010. they burnt all flags and India and hoisted Pakistani flags. what more shame do we need to see to consider it as a dispute.
If they feel themselves as pakistanis, then they can migrate to pakistan border. Kashmir belongs to Hindustanis.
