This State Will Pay Rs 6000 To Install Electric Vehicle Chargers; Cost Comes Down To Rs 2500
The government of Delhi has now announced that only a minimum amount of Rs. 2500 will be charged for the installation of two and three wheelers at malls, apartments, hospitals and such other places in the city.
The Transport Minister of Delhi, Kailash Gahlot has confirmed this news and has also launched a single window facility for ease of consumers to install to private charging stations.

Delhi Government offers EV Charger At Rs. 2500 Only
As per Delhi Transport Minister Kailash Gahlot, the government has also announced that a subsidy of Rs 6,000 will be offered to the first 30,000 applicants for charging stations. This automatically reduces the effective cost of each charger to around Rs 2,500.
A single window facility has also been launched for the consumers which can be availed either by visiting the respective discom portals or by calling the helpline numbers for installation of private charging stations.
You can also visit the portal and view trustworthy electric vehicle (EV) chargers that have been empanelled by the government. The prices of the chargers can be compared and they can also be ordered online or through a phone call.
The minister stated, “One can now install private EV chargers at a connection cost of just Rs 2,500. We have created an enabling environment, which will in the coming times ensure that more and more electric vehicles will run on the roads of Delhi.”
Additionally, the installation and operationalism of electric vehicles chargers will be completed within seven working days of submitting the application
Applicants can also go for a new electrical connection (including pre-paid meter) to avail reduced EV tariff; they can also continue with the existing connection.
Governments Push For EV
Recently, Odisha state government had announced that they will waive off motor vehicles tax and registration fees for those who have purchased battery-operated or electric vehicles (EVs).
There also has been news that the electric vehicles in Maharashtra will come with financial incentives between the amount of Rs 10,000 to Rs 20 lakh.
The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has already selected more than 650 properties in 22 states to develop highway infrastructure. These properties are spread over a combined area of over 3,000 hectares.
For this, the NHAI will be joining hands with the private sector in the next five years.
For the upcoming Delhi-Mumbai Expressway, 94 sites have been identified, whereas, 376 sites have been identified along new highways and expressways under construction. In addition to that, around 180 sites have been selected along an already existing network of highways across the country.
