JioPhone Next’s Features, Price Revealed: Rs 5000, Android Go 11, Qualcomm Chip

Revealing some of its key features, the JioPhone Next has been listed on the Google Play Console which will apparently run on Android Go platform.

The next generation of JioPhone is expected to go on sale just around Diwali.

Continuing with the confidentiality, Jio is yet to reveal the phone’s specifications. 

During such times, Google has come to our rescue as the JioPhone Next was spotted listed on the Google Play Console. 

Interestingly, this listing reveals all the core specifications of this smartphone, JioPhone Next. 

Further signaling that prices will be quite low for this phone. 

The listing on the console also hints that a launch can be expected very soon considering the arrival of the festival season.

It seems that the JioPhone Next is basically a phone for first-time smartphone buyers who don’t want to spend a lot of money, as per the listed specs. 

Revealed Specifications

Coming to the specifications, the JioPhone Next is expected to use a watered-down version of Android as its operating system – Android Go. 

While the rest of the specs fall in the entry-level category suggesting that JioPhone Next price will be very low.

So far, the most important aspect of the JioPhone Next is the operating system, which is now known to be the Android Go platform.

 It will come with Android Go 11 preloaded, with a pre-installed suite of Android Go apps.

Most probably, the JioPhone Next will come with an already installed entire suite of apps.

So far, the size of the display hasn’t been clarified yet but the listing suggests a HD+ resolution (1440 x 720 pixel resolution). 

This phone will rely on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 215 chipset paired to Adreno 306 GPU with 2GB RAM.

Sadly, there is no revelation of the battery capacity as well as the camera resolution. 

Although, rumor mills suggest having a 2500mAh battery and a 13MP rear camera to take upon the duty of taking photographs. For the selfies and video calls, the JioPhone Next is expected to feature an 8MP camera.

Since this phone was developed in partnership with Google, it will bring certain smart features to consumers. 

So, there will be the Google Assistant onboard along with the capability of on-screen translation, automatic read-aloud, special filers for the cameras, and more.

Price For JioPhone Next 

Most likely, The JioPhone Next will have a starting price of around Rs 5,000, as per the speculations.

There is a possibility of a model with 3GB RAM and 64GB storage that could cost around Rs 7,000. 

But not to worry as Reliance Jio data pack and other offers from banks, the price is expected to be far lower than this.
