Kia Seltos, Sonet Price Will Increase ‘Substantially’ From January 1; Rs 35,000 Increase Happened Last Year!
In the upcoming new year, the prices of the popular Kia Seltos and Kia Sonet are all set to increase substantially.
Reports have also suggested that Kia Motors is planning to expand its operations in order to reach the rural areas and small towns in India as well.

Prices of Kia Motors And Kia Seltos To Increase Substantially From January 1
Kia Motors has announced that the prices of the cars will be increased. The price hike announced is anything between the range of Rs. 20,000 and Rs. 35,000, and will be effective from January 1, 2021.
Kia Motors has shared a letter with all the car dealer partners stating that the new prices of the cars will be ‘substantially’ higher.
This includes its popular cars, Kia Sonet and Kia Seltos. However, the prices of the newly launched Carnival MPV will not be increased and will be the same as they are today.

Kia Sonet was launched in September 2020, and ever since its launch, the company has not revised its introductory price. Seltos’ price hike was way back in January 2020.
Kia Motors To Expand Operations to Rural Areas And Small Towns Of India
Additionally, Kia Motors is planning to expand its operations to include rural areas and small towns of India as well.
Tae-Jin Park, executive director and chief sales officer of Kia Motors India, has confirmed this news.
He said, “We are expanding our network and are aiming to reach 300 touchpoints by the end of this year and will now focus on expansion in tier-IV and upcountry markets which will help us further penetrate deeper in the Indian market.”
Apparently, the car maker has observed a huge demand for its models from all around the country. As per Park, there is a lot of potential in India as there are only 22 cars per 1000 individuals in the country. The company also has plans to look after the sales and aftersales requirements of the customer.
