Employee Union Up In Arms Against This Firing
National Information Technology Employees Senate or NITES, which is a nonprofit dedicated towards helping IT employees has strongly condemned this action by Hexaware, and have requested the Govt to intervene, and help the employees.
Via Facebook post, Harpreet Saluja, Founder & General Secretary, National Information Technology Employees Senate NITES said:
“Hon’ble CMOMaharashtra Uddhav Thackeray ji Labour Commissioner Maharashtra Dilip Walse Patil ji
We demand #JusticeforEmployees
National Information Technology Employees Senate – NITES had received multiple complaints from employees of #Hexaware_Technologies that the company has illegally put employees on bench and reduced their salaries. #NITES had submitted an official complaint to the Labour Commissioner Office on 20 April 2020 against the company for violation of the Maharashtra State Government’s GR dated 31 March 2020. The Labour Commissioner Office had sent a notice to #Hexaware Technologies as well but still the company has illegally terminated employees today over a phone call. The employees under such difficult circumstances are unable to appear for interviews and join any other company. This is highly condemnable and we demand strict actions against #Hexaware_Technologies from the Maharashtra Government.
