Samsung pop-up camera phone is coming, the first Samsung phone with a pop-up sensor. Samsung is introducing a pop-up sensor for the very first time, a feature already used by multiple companies in the last couple of years.
The company experimented with a revolving camera on Samsung Galaxy A80 last year.
The next Samsung Galaxy A series could have a similar moving camera in the form of a pop-up sensor. Shared by OnLeaks, the upcoming Samsung device will have no notch or punch hole, but a pop-up sensor.
Samsung Pop-Up Camera Phone In The Making: Galaxy A80 Successor?
The Samsung phone with a pop-up camera will succeed Galaxy A80, which came with a rotating camera last year. The new Samsung phone will have a conventional pop-up camera to offer a full view screen experience.
The Samsung pop-up phone will join the likes of other popular pop-up camera phones as OnePlus 7 Pro, Redmi K20 Pro, Redmi K20, Realme X and more.
At the back, the device will feature a triple camera setup with curved side edges.
The first pop-up camera smartphone by Samsung could either be a Galaxy A or Galaxy M-series phone or a brand new Samsung series. The company may launch an all-new series for different pop-up camera smartphones under the product line.
Samsung Pop-Up Camera Phone: Specs, Features
Starting with the obvious feature, the Samsung phone will use a pop-up module for the front camera to offer an all-screen design. The leaked images hint at a thick chin with slim bezels on sides inside a 6.5-inch display.
At the back, the Samsung pop-up camera phone will have a vertically-aligned triple-camera setup.
We don’t know the camera specs as of yet, but it’s expected to feature a 64MP primary sensor.
The fingerprint scanner is placed on the back as per the images leaked. At the bottom, there’s a USB Type-C port and a speaker grille with a 3.5mm headphone jack on the top edge, next to the pop-up camera.
The Samsung pop-up camera phone is already in the making, and the leaked images hint at an imminent launch. The Galaxy pop-up camera smartphone will launch right after the lockdown across several countries.
In India, the Samsung Galaxy pop-up smartphone is expected during the same time, maybe by August, expected to cost around Rs 30,000.
