Poco X2 Officially Teased: Specs, Price, India Launch [Poco X2 Confirmed]
Poco X2 has been officially confirmed by the soon turned independent company. Set to launch as Poco F1 successor, the Poco X2 will come with upgraded features and latest top specs on a budget.
The first Poco F1 was the cheapest flagship smartphone then running on Snapdragon 845.
The upcoming Poco X2 is expected to offer the same experience as Poco F1.
Instead of sharing the teaser directly, Poco chose to officially confirm Poco X2 in a cryptically teased video. The name the video confirms Poco F2 via its twitter handle.
Poco X2 Officially Confirmed: New Journey For Poco
Poco has been separated by Xiaomi to be established as an independent brand. Unveiled in 2017, Poco brand was a part of Xiaomi India. But starting in 2019, Poco will operate independently from now like previously separated Redmi.
Xiaomi first separated Redmi to fight against Realme, it wasn’t a bad decision.
Since early 2018, Redmi haa been doing very well. It again tried to compete against OnePlus with Poco as well, and now it will probably focus on it more.
With no phones launched by Poco brand since August 2017, this move aims at a more strategic approach. Poco is set to embark on the new journey as an independent brand, and has officially confirmed Poco X2 in a cryptically teased video via Twitter.
Poco X2 Specs, Features: The Earlier Geekbench Leak
The upcoming Poco X2 was spotted online to be running on the latest Android 10 OS, powered by a 1.80GHz octa-core SoC. The processor has been codenamed “phoenixin” and Poco X2 packs 8GB of RAM.
On Geekbench, Poco X2 has been able to score 547 points in the single-core test and 1,767 points in the multi-core test.
The listing reveals data of Poco X2 which match up information with the features of Redmi K30. While it hasn’t been confirmed yet, many have already claiming that Poco X2 may launch in India as a remodelled Redmi K30.
Xiaomi India has already given the Redmi K30 4G a green signal, and very recently the Redmi K30 5G model has also passed the BIS certification, hinting at an imminent launch in India.
The company may choose to bring Redmi K30 5G separately, while the Redmi K30 4G model may come to India as Poco X2, a successor to the current Poco F1.
Coming to the Poco X2 specs, it could be a remodelled Redmi K30. In that case, Poco X2 will feature a 6.67-inch Full HD+ display offering 120Hz refresh rate in an 20:9 aspect ratio. Poco X2 will feature a rear quad camera setup.
Upfront, Poco X2 will have the dual selfie camera setup inside the capsule shaped punch-hole.
Poco X2 will run on the latest Android 10 with MIUI 11 out-of-the-box enabled with customised Poco Launcher. Poco X2 will be backed by a 4,500mAh battery with support for 30W fast charging tech, with the 30W fast charger in the box.
