The news of a OnePlus TV first came out in the second half of last year, and it has been leaked multiple times. While the OnePlus TV was expected to arrive in April, and then at the OnePlus 7 launch, but none happened. The wait seems to be finally over, as OnePlus is prepping up to launch its first-ever television worldwide this September, most likely on 26th.
The company this year has unveiled two OnePlus 7 smartphones and a 5G prototype device at the MWC 2019.
While the OnePlus 7T and 7T Pro are already in the pipeline, there will soon be a OnePlus TV as well. The company hasn’t confirmed the launch officially in India, but it will certainly bring it to the country, given its wide popularity. Also, OnePlus again took up the throne to become the number one premium smartphone brand in India in the latest quarter.

The leaked certification listing revealed five OnePlus TV models: ‘55Q1IN’, ‘43Q2IN’, ‘65Q2CN’, ‘75Q2CN’, and ‘75Q2US’. The starting number denotes the size, while at the end possibly indicates the country where the TV will be sold. Like ‘55Q1IN’ is most likely a 55-inch OnePlus TV to be sold in India.
The leaks hint at 4 sizes of OnePlus TV: 43-inch, 55-inch, 65-inch and 75-inch, to be sold in 3 markets: the US, China and India. The other details show a Bluetooth SIG listing confirming Bluetooth version 5.0.

Coming to the cost and pricing, OnePlus will have some big competition from the top manufacturers. The high-end OnePlus TV is most likely to come with the LG-manufactured OLED panel, and it’s going to be a tough fight. The LED display market is too overcrowded, and Xiaomi is leading it quite well.
Companies like Vu, Xiaomi and TCL are already operating at very thin profit margins, and OnePlus will have to differentiate itself to stay in the loop.
As OnePlus smartphones, OnePlus TV will also be available exclusively via Amazon India. It’s too early to comment, but the OnePlus TV may come at a strategic entry-premium pricing. As OnePlus is known to offer the best of industry specs at an affordable price point, the OnePlus TV is similarly expected to come with the best of features at a very competitive price point.
Considering how OnePlus prices its products, the OnePlus TV India price is expected to start at around Rs 45,000 to Rs 50,000. There will be other models, and the entry-level TVs may be priced somewhere around it.
OnePlus TV India Launch: When Will OnePlus TV Launch In India?
The OnePlus TV possible global launch date is said to be September 26. The other leaks suggest between September 25 to September 30. Cutting off the confusion, the OnePlus TV launch will happen in the last week of September, on any probable date.
Though, the company hasn’t officially confirmed anything yet. In most cases, OnePlus leaks have very high chances of being right (given the past leaks and actual results), so the September last week seems very likely.

Given its popularity in India, the company will definitely be bringing the television to the country. This could either be a standalone launch for the OnePlus TV in India, or a joint-launch with the upcoming OnePlus 7T and OnePlus 7T Pro.
