Vivo can’t keep it calm. Zoon after launching a super budget smartphone under Z series, the company is set to bring in their next budget smartphone. Tipped as Vivo Z5, the smartphone will launch in China and some of the global markets including India.
The new TENAA leak and a live image leaks a lot of details including all the key specs and features.
Vivo also officially released some of the renders including the highlighting features. Some of the key features are similar to the existing Z series smartphone, Vivo Z1 Pro. There are a few inclusions, and this time the company will be using a 48MP sensor, in-display fingerprint sensor and more.

The TENAA listing of Vivo Z5 have almost leaked everything you would want to know about the upcoming Vivo flagship. Here are the top Z5 features.
Design & Build
The Vivo Z5 smartphone will come with a similar design technology as Vivo Z1 Pro. The company will again use the same build as the existing Z series smartphone. The Z5 device will be built out of high quality plastic polycarbonate body.
It will again use a gradient finish on the out with varied colour schemes and colour patterns. The phone just measures 8.3mm.
Bezel-Less AMOLED Display
The Vivo smartphone will feature a 6.38-inch AMOLED display. It’s you to be a bezel-less panel offering a screen resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels. Vivo Z5 will come with a notched display offering Full HD+ resolution.
There was an LCD panel on the Z1 Pro, but Vivo Z5 will come with an AMOLED panel.
In-Display Fingerprint Sensor
The leaked live image shows that the rear panel does not seem to have a fingerprint scanner. Unlike Vivo Z1 Pro, the new Vivo Z series smartphone will come with an in-display fingerprint sensor. So, missing rear mounted fingerprint sensor hints at a sensor inside the display.
So, most likely, Vivo Z5 would come with an in-display fingerprint scanner as the recently launched mid-range devices as Oppo K3 and Realme X.
Hardware & Processor
The TENAA listing reveals a 2.3GHz octa-core processor. Vivo Z5 will be powered by the same Qualcomm Snapdragon chip as Z1 Pro. The company will use a Snapdragon 712 SoC. In India, it’s you to be the second smartphone running on a Snapdragon 712 chip.
Snapdragon 712 is an overclocked version of the existing Snapdragon 710 which powers smartphones like Realme 3 Pro, Oppo K3 and Realme X.
Storage & Variants
The leak further leaks three different variants. The company would launch Vivo Z5 in multiple storage variants varying between 6GB and 8GB RAM options with 64GB and 128GB storage options. The smartphone will support additional storage via an external microSD memory card.
Probably Vivo Z5 will launch in two models: 6GB RAM with 128GB storage and 8GB RAM with 128GB storage.
48MP Main Camera
Vivo will be using 48-megapixel imaging sensor as the main lens inside the three camera setup on Vivo Z5. The current three camera setup on Vivo Z1 Pro doesn’t feature a 48MP main camera as other mid-range smartphones available in the same range as Redmi Note 7 Pro, Realme X, Moto One Vision and more.
The company will have an edge in the market with the use of popular 48MP primary sensor inside the rear camera system.
Triple Camera System
Vivo Z5 will come with a triple camera system at the back. The company will be using 48-megapixel imaging sensor as the main lens. The camera system will be accompanied by a secondary camera 8-megapixel sensor while the third rear camera will probably be a 2-megapixel depth sensor.

Up front, Vivo Z5 will come with a 32-megapixel selfie camera inside the notch. The company is known for great selfie cameras. The 32MP camera will be able to capture wide-angle selfies backed by AI features.
The company will use different AI imaging capabilities for different selfie camera modes.
Multiple Colour Variants
Vivo Z5 will be available in three color options. The company will launch the smartphone on green, blue, and white colour models. These are going to be gradient colour patterns with some glossy finishes.
