Xiaomi unveiled the much-awaited Redmi Note 7 Pro in the country today, the global unit along with the Redmi Note 7. Both the smartphones come with new and upgraded features at very aggressive pricing.
The Indian Redmi Note 7 uses all the features same as the Chinese version.
While, Redmi Note 7 Pro comes with all the speculated specifications such as the Sony IMX 586 sensor, Snapdragon 675 and 128GB storage. Again, Redmi Note 7 has also been priced very aggressively starting at Rs 13,999.
Let’s take a quick look at the top specs from each of the devices.
Redmi Note 7 Pro: Top Features, Specs
Starting with the Redmi Note 7 Pro, this was the global launch of the smartphone in the country. Redmi Note 7 Pro uses a 6.3-inch Full HD+ Dot Notch display featuring 1,080 x 2,340 pixels resolution. It’s an LTPS in-cell display with 1.95mm tiny bezels. You get Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection on both front and back with a glossy gradient finish.
Redmi Note 7 Pro is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 675 SoC with 4GB and 6GB RAM, and 64GB and 128GB storage respectively.
The smartphone will come with the 48-megapixel Sony IMX 586 sensor, the cheapest you can find on any smartphone with this sensor. The Redmi Note 7 Pro combines rear dual-lens setup with the 48-megapixel Sony primary sensor and a 5-megapixel depth secondary sensor.
Up front, Redmi Note 7 Pro houses a single 12-megapixel camera backed by Bluetooth v5.0, GPS, Wi-Fi, 3.5-mm audio socket and an FM Radio. This is the first time a Redmi Note device will use USB Type-C port. It’s a dual VoLTE 4G-enabled device with two nano-SIM slots.
Finally, the smartphone packs in the same 4,000mAh battery with Qualcomm Quick Charge 4.0 18W fast charging technology (ships with 10W adaptor).
Redmi Note 7: Top Features, Specs
The Indian Redmi Note 7 is the same as the Chinese Redmi Note 7. All the specs are already out, but let’s do a little recap. Redmi Note 7 has a 6.3-inch Full HD+ Dot Notch display with a screen resolution of 1,080 x 2,340 pixels resolution in a 19.5:9 aspect ratio. You get Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection on both front and back.
Redmi Note 7 runs on an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 SoC with 3GB and 4GB RAM, and 32GB and 64GB of storage respectively.
Redmi Note 7 has a dual rear camera setup comprising of a 12-megapixel primary camera and a secondary 2-megapixel lens with an f/1.8 aperture. It has a 13-megapixel camera sensor for selfies, and in terms of connectivity, it has the same features as Redmi Note 7 Pro: Bluetooth v5.0, GPS, Wi-Fi, Infrared sensor, 3.5-mm audio socket and FM Radio.
Again, it’s a USB Type-C port and a dual VoLTE 4G-enabled device with two nano-SIM slots.

Redmi Note 7 Pro & Note 7: Price, Availablity
Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 Pro starts at Rs 13,999 for the base model with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage. And the top Redmi Note 7 Pro model with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage costs Rs 16,999. Coming to Redmi Note 7, the base model with 3GB RAM and 32GB storage starts at Rs 9,999.
The Redmi Note 7 top model with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage will sell at Rs 11,999.
Both Redmi Note 7 Pro and Redmi Note 7 will be available online through Flipkart and Mi.com, and offline via Mi Home Stores and Mi Preferred Partners. Redmi Note 7 first sale is on March 6, 12 noon and Redmi Note 7 Pro first sale is just a week later, March 13, 12 noon.
