It now confirmed that both Redmi Note 7 Pro and Redmi Note 7 will launch together.
There’s some really good news for Xiaomi fans in India. As per a new leak by tipster Ishan Agarwal, Xiaomi will launch two Redmi Note 7 smartphones together in India on February 28: Note 7 and Note 7 Pro.

Alongside, the company will also unveil Redmi Go at the same event.
All set to launch on February 28, both the smartphones will go on sale starting in the first week of March. All the important specs are out as well, including the India prices.

Redmi Note 7 Pro India Launch On Feb 28
Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 Pro has already been confirmed in China, and now the device will debut on the same day as Redmi Note 7 in India. There’s some changes as well. Both the Redmi Note 7 devices will not ship with any of the speculated Sony IMX 586 sensor in India.
Another big letdown was the processor. In India, Redmi Note 7 will come with Snapdragon 636 and Redmi Note 7 Pro with Snapdragon 660.
The Redmi Note 7 Pro India launch has been confirmed, as per the leak. The smartphone will be unveiled with Redmi Note 7 at the same event on February 28. The company is also expected to announce it’s first Android Go device, Redmi Go in India at the New Delhi event.
Chinese Redmi Note 7 Will Launch In India As Redmi Note 7 Pro
As per the specifications, the Chinese Redmi Note 7 will launch in India as Redmi Note 7 Pro. And the Indian Redmi Note 7 is going to be a downgraded smartphone with the same chip from Redmi Note 5 Pro, Snapdragon 636, a 12MP Sony 486 sensor and 13MP OV13855 front camera.
Earlier, reports flooded up that Redmi Note 7 Pro will come with Qualcomm Snapdragon 675, Sony IMX 586 sensor and 18W fast charging.
Coming to the other standard specifications, Redmi Note 7 and Note 7 Pro will come with the same signature 4,000mAh battery, dual cameras and water drop notch display. In India, Redmi Note 7 Pro will come with the same specs and features as the Chinese Redmi Note 7.
Redmi Note 7 Pro India Specs
The Indian Redmi Note 7 Pro will come with the same specs as the Chinese Redmi Note 7, which was launched last month under its newly separated brand, Redmi. In India, Redmi Note 7 Pro will come with that same 6.3-inch Full HD+ water drop notch display, Snapdragon 660 chipset, 4GB/6GB RAM and 64GB/128GB internal storage.
Redmi Note 7 Pro will have the same camera combination as Chinese Redmi Note 7, the 48MP + 5MP camera setup.
This is the 48MP Samsung GM1 sensor, and not the Sony IMX 586 sensor. The old SD 660 can’t power the latest Sony sensor. Up front it features a 13MP front-facing snapper with AI-based features.
At the back, its has a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor, MIUI 10, 4,000mAh battery and Quick Charge 4.0 fast charging support (the smartphone will not ship with the fast charging adapter, it needs to be purchased separately).
Redmi Note 7 Pro India Price Revealed
Some of the closest sources have leaked the Redmi Note 7 smartphone prices. Starting with Redmi Note 7, in India, the 3/32GB edition will cost Rs 9,999 and the 4/64GB edition will sell at Rs 11,999. Even the Redmi Note 7 Pro prices are out as well. The Pro version will be available in two storage versions unlike the three models of its Chinese variant.
The 4/64GB Redmi Note 7 Pro in India will cost Rs 13,999. While the top Redmi Note 7 variant with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage will sell at Rs 16,999 in India.
The prices are still unofficial, but seems valid given Xiaomi’s history of pricing in India. The Redmi Note 7 launch event is scheduled for February 28, 12 noon. You can catch up the event live on Xiaomi India’s official YouTube channel.
