Ahead of Jio Gigafiber launch in March this year, Airtel has fired another salvo, aimed at luring broadband users: Free 1 TB of Data.

This is easily Airtel’s one of the biggest offers, for broadband users.

Meanwhile, BSNL too has sharpened their swords, and have announced a new prepaid plan, which aims to target both Airtel and Jio users: Data at just Rs 6.6 per GB, and more importantly, free Amazon Prime subscription.

More details inside.

Airtel’s Free 1 TB Data

In some selected cities where Airtel’s V-Fiber services is active (it’s not available in Hyderabad, for instance), Airtel has launched a special offer, wherein users can get free 1 TB of data.

Two important things to note:

  • This offer is valid for only those users who opt for Rs 799 and above broadband plans.
  • Last date for this offer is March 31st, 2019

With Rs 799 plan, users can get 500 GB, overall. First 100 GB can be accessed with 40 Mbps speed, and the rest at 10 Mbps.

However, if you are planning to grab this free 1TB of data, then Rs 999 plans seem better option: You can get 250 GB at 100 Mbps speed, and besides 1TB extra, you can also get 100 GB extra.

Rs 1299 (500 GB at 100 Mbps) and Rs 1999 (unlimited data at 100 Mbps) also seem a good bargain to get an additional free 1TB of data.

BSNL’s Salvo: Free Amazon Prime With Rs 798 Plan

Meanwhile state-run carrier BSNL too has announced a new prepaid plan which costs Rs 798. The most exciting aspect of this plan is Free Amazon Prime subscription for a year.

Those who need heavy data, they will like this plan, as per GB cost under this new plan is just Rs 6.6.

Overall, BSNL prepaid users can get 120 GB of data by doing this recharge of Rs 798.

Two pointers you need to note:

  • This plan can be only availed under 2G or 3G data network, as BSNL’s 4G is still under development. Even if you can access BSNL’s 4G network in states like Kerala, Gujarat, MP and Tamil Nadu, this plan is only for 2G or 3G network.
  • There is no data roll-over facility for this plan. Hence, you will need to consume the entire 120 GB in a month only.

Only BSNL’s Rs 525 prepaid plan, for Kolkata circle has the data roll-over facility, as of now.
