Xiaomi & The Recent Price Cuts: Growing Competition?

This is probably the seventh time the Chinese smartphone company has been reducing the prices of it’s smartphones. The company’s dominance has been threatened by the growing shares of Asus, Realme and Honor.

While this is the same Xiaomi did to Samsung in the last few years. Killed off their phones with affordable prices and better features.

As they say, history is repeating the same with Xiaomi. The company is facing a tough time. Makers like Asus, Realme and Honor has some great budget phones, better than what Xiaomi is offering.

Samsung failed to realise the potential, and it was too late for them to reduce the prices. Xiaomi is not repeating the same mistake, and thus has been reducing the prices of its phones to catch up with competition.

Xiaomi will have to bring in good phones and need to price them strategically, or it will face the same fate as the former smartphone king of India.

OnePlus 7 New Leak

In the latest development, the upcoming OnePlus 7 has been spotted with UFS 3.0 technology. The smartphone will switch from UFS 2.1 to the upgraded 3.0 for the upcoming OnePlus flagship. UFS is Universal Flash Storage which denotes the capability of a smartphone to copy and read data.

With the new UFS 3.0 standard, OnePlus 7 will be able to offer higher data transfer speeds with increased reliability. This will boost up OnePlus 7 performance by enhancing the flash memory storage facility.

The UFS 3.0 standard helps a device to get rid of different adapters for different types of cards. The UFS 3.0 standard was launched a year back in January 2018. With the new standard, the upcoming OnePlus 7 will be able to offer speeds up to 11.36GB per second.
