Realme has released a series of updates for their loyal customers.
Realme has started to roll out the latest updates for its current smartphones. The company is roughly half-a-year old and already is reigning the smartphone market with its budget killer devices.
After starting out as an Oppo sub-brand, Realme later took off to work as an independent brand.
The company has released the stable ColorOS 5.2 OTA (Over-The-Air) update for its smartphones. The recent ColorOS update can also be downloaded from the company’s forum. The instructions to install it has been provided by the company.
New Upgrades For Realme 2 & Realme C1
The latest ColorOS 5.2 OTA can be directly downloaded from the Realme site. For Realme 2 and Realme C1, the latest update will now allow you to dismiss the notifications straightaway. You can swipe from left to right to dismiss notifications from now.
Also, the latest update brings in a new icon to show a plugged-in headset. Whenever you plug in your headphones, you will see an icon on the top bar.
You will get a new Smart Bar which will allow users to launch apps from the home screen. You can directly open the apps from home screen which has a novel reboot function. This will help users to swipe upwards to reboot an app in the shutdown interface.
The update also brings in a few optimizations for reminders device manager, developer options and accessibility mode. The company also claimed that the update will also improve the touch-screen frequency. The recent update also includes the December security patch.
Realme 2 Pro Update: Battery Optimisation & Slo-Mo Videos
Realme 2 Pro has received a similar stable update which will improve that battery life of the smartphone. The company has said that it will bring in a battery optimization settings menu to offer better performance.
The company has rolled out a special Screen Battery Optimisation mode for Realme 2 Pro. This will improve the overall performance of the system by optimizing the functions.
The update for Realme 2 Pro OTA update can be directly downloaded from the Realme site and can be installed straight away.
The new battery settings will help users to dynamically adjust the brightness and contrast. The settings will get an update on its own which will reduce the overall battery consumption.
Realme has claimed that the new battery update will help users to offer additional output on overall charging. The Balance mode can also offer extended battery usage and endurance by 5 percent while the Strong mode will make help the overall battery to offer an extra output by more than 10 percent.
Coming to the final feature, the company now has added the slow-motion mode into the default camera app, previously we saw on Realme U1.
The update is now available for all the users. The rollout may not be compatible for all the Realme users, as only select models has been made available for the update.
