Starting today, offer preview for Jio’s Monsoon Hungama has been started, and from tomorrow onwards, users can exchange their old feature phone for a new Jio Phone by paying just Rs 501.

Monsoon Hungama: Complete Details
Here are 6 major pointers, which will inform you about the Monsoon Hungama offer:
- By paying Rs 501, and exchanging your old feature phone, you can get a brand new Jio Phone, which will have Whatsapp, Youtube and Facebook (starting August 15th). The exchange will be start from tomorrow, that is July 21st.
– - The feature phone should be in working condition, and a charger should also be present.
- A mandatory recharge of Rs 594 should be done, in which users will get 90 GB data for 6 months.
- Rs 501 which will be paid for the new handset will be refundable after three years, which means that new Jio Phone is effectively free.
- Besides, a new plan of Rs 99 has been introduced, in which users will get 500 MB of data per day, and unlimited calls for 28 days
- Jio Phone can be also bought with by paying Rs 1500 – in that case, recharge of Rs 49 needs to be done for 6 months. In both the cases, ie Rs 501 or Rs 1500, the effective price of Jio Phone comes down to zero after three years.

Hands-on Experience of Jio Phone with Whatsapp
Meanwhile we received a new Jio Phone with Whatsapp and Facebook, Youtube, and we tested it out.
The initial experience has been amazing, as the KaiOS has altered the UI of the apps, and presented a minimalistic design which supports the small screen. Whatsapp can be used to make voice calls, and Google Maps can be used for navigation as well.
Google’s Voice command feature is working just like a smartphone. The new Jio Phone is also powered with NFC Chip, which can be used for instantly transferring money via JioMoney, once the feature is launched full-fledged.
