Now Pay Bills Using BHIM; Paytm Has A New Feature Exclusively For iPhone Users!

Govt. backed and UPI powered BHIM app, and Paytm, India’s largest wallet, both have announced some really interesting features and updates for their users.
While BHIM app now allows bill and utility payments seamlessly via their platform, Paytm has launched an interesting feature, only for iPhone users.

BHIM App: Now Pay Bills Easily
BHIM’s latest 1.5 version on Android and iOS now allows bill payments for all users. As per the changelog observed, there are several categories within BHIM app, using which any user can pay bills via UPI platform.
The categories which are present currently are:
- Post-paid Mobile
- Landline
- Broadband
- DTH
- Electricity
- Gas & water
Interestingly, Jio and Airtel, two of the biggest telecom networks are not available for post-paid mobile payments as of now. The networks which are available are;
- Vodafone
- BSNL
- Idea Cellular
- Tata DoCoMo
And, since BHIM app is powered by UPI, users would be required to first transfer the money via UPI address into their BHIM app, and then make the payments.
Created by National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI), BHIM App was initially launched for P2P payments, which then diversified into other niches.
Their cashback offer of Rs 750 has been very popular among their users.
This new feature of online bill payment is part of UPI 2.0 vision, of which BHIM is an important part.
Paytm: Exciting New Feature For iPhone Users!
Meanwhile Paytm has launched a new, exciting feature only for iPhone users.
In this new update, iPhone users can now transfer money using Siri, Apple’s AI-based personal assistant.
This is how the money transfer can be made:
- Give command ‘Hey Siri’
- Inform Siri about the desired amount which you want to transfer, to the concerned person
- Siri will ask for the app to be used for the money transfer
- Say Paytm
- Siri will once again ask for a confirmation
- Once the payment has been made, the Siri will give a confirmation about the same
