Xiaomi Mi 7 Live Images & Specifications Leaked – Everything You Need To Know

A recently leaked poster has given strong indications that the Xiaomi Mi 7 would be launching in China on May 23. Nothing is still official yet, but the smartphone may launch officially before the end of May. As per another report, Xiaomi will also launch its new Mi Band 3 at the same event. The purported Xiaomi Mi 7 has a lot of similarities to the recently launched Mi MIX 2S with some cosmetic changes.

Several images of the upcoming Mi 7 have been already leaked online. But some of the most recent leaked images on Weibo seem to be more authentic. The company may also launch a higher variant called Mi 7 Plus. The upcoming Xiaomi flagship was also spotted on a benchmarking website a few days back.

iPhone-X-Like Display

The upcoming Xiaomi flagship will come with a 5.65 inch OLED widescreen display with a distinctive notch at the top with a taller 18:9 screen aspect ratio. Mi 7 Plus may come with a larger 6.01 inch OLED screen. Both the models are rumored to feature an under display fingerprint scanner.

Bezel-less Body & Wireless Charging

The smartphone will come with thin bezels on the left and rights sides of the screen with a slightly thick bottom, which may sport the front camera as well. The smartphone will sport a premium ceramic build on the out and may support wireless charging.

3D Facial Recognition

Xiaomi Mi 7 is expected to come with an advanced working technology on 3D facial recognition. The flagship will feature a complex set of sensors for 3D structure light sensing capabilities which will allow 3D facial recognition.

Qualcomm Flagship Processor

Under the hood, the Xiaomi Mi 7 will sport an octa-core Snapdragon 845 chipset clocking at 2.8 GHz coupled with Adreno 630 GPU and 4GB or 6GB of RAM. The device will come with three different storage capacity versions of 64GB, 128GB and 256GB.

Android 8.1 Oreo

The listing on GeekBench has revealed that the upcoming Xiaomi flagship will run the latest Android 8.1.0 Oreo out of the box with Xiaomi’s own custom MIUI 9 beta skin on top.

Rear Dual Camera Setup

Mi 7 will sport a rear dual camera setup with a primary 16 megapixel sensor with an f/1.7 aperture with 4-axis optical image stabilization rear coupled with a wide-angle 16 megapixel secondary unit.

The rear camera  supports phase detection autofocus (PDAF), OIS, EIS with a dual LED dual-tone flash. Up front, the Xiaomi Mi 7 will come with a 8 megapixel unit.

Connectivity

The Mi 7 gets will come with all the connectivity options with support for Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, 4G LTE with VoLTE, dual SIM, dual-band, Wi-Fi Direct and DLNA.

Massive Battery

The upcoming Mi flagship will come with a non-removable Li-Po 4480 mAh battery with support for Qualcomm’s Quick Charge 3.0 fast-charging technology.

Xiaomi Mi 7 – India Launch & Price

The last Mi flagship Mi 6 didn’t make it to India. As per the reports, the recently-launched Mi MIX 2S will not come to India as well. Xiaomi has not been able to do well in the premium segment in the country, so Xiaomi Mi 7 may not come to India at all.

In China, Mi 7 is expected to be cost somewhere around 2600 Yuan (about Rs 30,000). Though, even if Mi 7 launches in India, the smartphone will cost above Rs 35,000.
