Xiaomi Launches Express One-Day Deliveries in India; Mi MIX 2S Image Leaked!

An image of the Mi MIX 2 successor was leaked on the Chinese social media website Weibo yesterday, which has revealed some key details of the upcoming Xiaomi premium flagship, the Mi MIX 2S. The leaked poster of Mi MIX 2S shows an almost bezel-less display with an incredible 95 percent screen-to-body ratio and a small notch in the top-right corner, which houses the front-facing camera.

As per the leaked image, the Mi MIX 2S will feature a 5.99-inch bezel-less display up front with a whopping 95 percent screen-to-body ratio. Its predecessor, the Mi MIX 2, had the same display size and featured a 91.3 percent screen-to-body ratio.

Bezel-Less Display, 95 Percent Screen-to-Body Ratio!

The leaked image reveals that Mi MIX 2S will come with a Full-Screen Design 3.0 edge-to-edge display which will take the bezel-less design to a whole new level. While Mi MIX 2 itself was had almost zero bezels at the top and sides, the 2S will take it to the next level by eliminating the bottom bezel as well!

The top and side bezels appear to be even slimmer than those on the Mi MIX 2. The 2S doesn’t have a bottom chin either. The smartphone has achieved full-front display design, but it will not have a big central notch like the iPhone X. Instead the camera will be housed at the top-right corner of the display, within a small notch cut into the corner of the display.

 

The leaked image has also revealed that the upcoming smartphone will be powered by Qualcomm’s latest flagship processor Snapdragon 845 coupled with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of onboard storage. These specifications were even spotted on Antutu benchmarking site previously.

The upcoming flagship scored 270,461 on the Antutu site in the performance tests which demonstrate the prowess of the recently launched Snapdragon 845 chipset.

Dual Cameras On The Mi MIX 2S

In the leaked image, there are 2 cameras arranged vertically at the back of the smartphone. The Xiaomi smartphone will purportedly feature four-axis optical image stabilization (OIS). Though the imaging specs are not confirmed yet, the Mi MIX 2S is rumoured to come with a two 12MP cameras at the back with optical zoom.

The fingerprint sensor at the back appears to be missing in the image. Rumours also suggest that the smartphone could come with an under-display fingerprint reader just like the newly-launched Vivo X2 Plus UD, and will also sport an iPhone X-like facial recognition feature.

Xiaomi has confirmed it will not launch any new device at the MWC 2018, where the Chinese company was expected to unveil its flagship the Mi 7, debuting with the Snapdragon 845. Later rumours suggested that, that the company will launch the Mi MIX 2S instead. But whenever it launches, the Mi MIX 2S is going to be a stellar showing from the house of Xiaomi.

Xiaomi Launches Express, 1-Day Delivery Service

With its tremendous growth in India Xiaomi is working hard to improve its service in India. Xiaomi started by launching several new service centres. Now, aiming to improve the online buying experience, Xiaomi has launched Express Delivery service in the country.

With the Express Delivery service, users can get their orders delivered in just one day. The service will be available free of cost too! But for the time being, the Express Delivery service will only be available at select pin codes in Bengaluru only.

The Express Delivery service will not be available on Sundays and order needs to be placed between 9:00 am and 4:30 pm to be eligible for single day delivery. The eligible products under the Express Delivery include the Redmi 4, Redmi 5A, Redmi Y1, Redmi Note 4, Mi Max 2 and Xiaomi Mi A1.
