Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (popularly known as BSNL) has decided to take a huge step in order to solve the network problems which are faced by its mobile users.

BSNL Improving Network With Installation Of 84000 Towers
As we know, this government-owned telecom firm has already installed 84,000 new 4G mobile towers across India under the company’s plan to install 1 lakh 4G towers using indigenous technology.
Behind this, the telecom’s main goal is to offer better connectivity to more than 9 crore BSNL users in both rural and urban areas.
In future, these 4G towers will also support upgrades to 5G services after the completion of this installation.
So far, 83.99 per cent work has been completed as mentioned by the Department of Telecommunications (DoT) recently in an update via its official X (formerly Twitter) handle.
In this post, the telecom has confirmed that they have completed 83.99% of the project with nearly 84,000 towers installed.
Further, the company has shared a 8-second video clip showcasing the ongoing infrastructure development.
Since last year, the telecom has been focusing on improving its network infrastructure and it has received financial support from the government to speed up the process.
Soon Expected Launch Of BSNL 5G
Moving ahead, BSNL plans to launch its 5G services, possibly by June 2025 after the full installation of 4G towers is completed.
This holds a great significance for BSNL as it marks a major step forward for the telecom service provider as it is considered a strength in competing with private telecom players such as Jio and Airtel, who already offer 5G in several cities.
Popular Plans BY BSNL
While that happens, let’s go through some of the popular offerings by BSNL
The telecom has created Mother’s day special offers for its users in celebration of Mother’s Day.
Under this initiative, BSNL is running a special recharge offer between May 7 and May 14 where users can enjoy Extra validity on the Rs 1499 and Rs 1999 prepaid plans.
Besides this, they are offering a 5 percent discount on three selected plans.
So, users will now get 365 days validity instead of 336 days on selection of the Rs 1499 plan.
Moving ahead, the Rs 1999 plan will now offer 380 days validity, up from 365 days.
Please note here that users need to recharge via the BSNL website or DoT app in order to avail this offer.
It appears that BSNL is trying to regain its position in the telecom market by providing improved services and better value to its loyal users with the rapid installation of towers and attractive offers.
