The Pixel 7 phones will run on Android 13 and feature the latest iteration of Google’s custom mobile chip Tensor.
Slight improvements in terms of battery size, and wired and wireless fast-charging abilities can be expected.
Chipset
This chip was introduced for the first time last year with the Pixel 6 and 6 Pro phones.
The recently launched pixel 6a also has the same chipset.
The latest version is dubbed Tensor G2.
It comes with 8 cores and Mali-G78 MP20 GPU.
Enhanced CPU, other benefits
Google partnered with Samsung to improve the CPU performance.
The Tensor G2 chipset is said to use Samsung’s 4nm LPE process.
The chipset is expected to feature 2 Cortex X1, 2 Cortex A78 and 4 Cortex A55 cores.
Some of its benefits include improved image and video processing abilities in smartphones.

Smartphone lineup leak
Leaks show that the Pixel 7 and 7 Pro has an aluminum camera bar with two cutouts on the rear for the Pro model.
On the rear, the devices will get a monotone glass panel with a contrasting, full-width metal visor for the cameras.
The regular Pixel 7 will get a single cut-out on the visor, whereas the 7 Pro model will bear two cut-outs.
It is likely to continue with the same design language, but the cameras could see further upgrades.
With the Google Pixel 7 and 7 Pro the former may be offered in 8GB/128GB and 8GB/256GB configurations, while the latter will likely get 12GB of RAM and up to 512GB of storage.
Pixel Watch
Coming to the Watch, all eyes are on Google since this would be the “first smartwatch built by Google, inside and out.”
Competitors (namely Samsung and Apple) have been making wearables for years, so the company’s entry has to be notable and at least somewhat competitive.
The Pixel Watch will go up against Apple Watch Series 8.
It will bear a stainless steel body, a circular dial, a “tactile” crown, and a side button.
It will offer a clean UI, smart notifications, navigation support, and a range of health features.
The wearable will house an Exynos 9110 chipset, 1.5GB of RAM, 32GB of storage, and a 300mAh battery. It will boot Wear OS 3.
