Availability
It will be available for pre-orders in India at the same time as global markets.
Preorders open on July 21 on the Google Store with wider availability from July 28.
They can be purchased from Flipkart but the price remains a mystery.
Adapting to ear shape
The Buds Pro comes with custom designed hardware and smart sensors and algorithms allowing them to automatically adjust both the fit and sound output.
Silent Seal helps Pixel Buds Pro adapt to the shape of your ear and maximize the amount of noise that’s cancelled
There are built-in sensors, which will measure the pressure in your ear canal to make sure you’re comfortable even during long listening sessions.
Active Noise Cancellation
The True Wireless Stereo (TWS) earbuds will be the first TWS from Google to come with Active Noise Cancellation (ANC).
ANC is built with a custom 6-core chip that runs on its proprietary algorithms.
There’s also a Transparency mode which lets ambient noise come in.
The buds can deliver up to seven hours of playback with ANC on and can stretch it by another four hours with it turned off.
Upcoming feature
It also retains the Fast Pair and Volume EQ, features seen on the original Pixel Buds.
Spatial audio head tracking which puts you in the middle of the action when watching a movie or TV show will be available sometime later in the year.
Multipoint connectivity, voice assistance
l;ke rival Apple’s AirPods Pro, the Pixel Buds Pro also supports multipoint connectivity, which enables the buds to automatically switch between previously paired Bluetooth devices — including compatible laptops, tablets, TVs, and Android and iOS phones.
Hands-free Google Assistant is yet another convenient feature with which the user can say “Hey Google,” and ask the Assistant for whatever they need such as walking directions.
Water resistance
Wireless charging is supported.
The earbuds have IPX4 water resistance, and the case is IPX2 water-resistant.
Possible pricing
While it will retail globally at $199.99 (around Rs 15,000) the India pricing is not yet known.
For reference, the Google Pixel Buds A-series, launched in 2021, were available for Rs. 7,299 on Flipkart.
