1. Tata Tigor EV facelift
Starting Price – Rs. 11.99 lakh
Tata Motors has launched the new Tigor EV in India with ex-showroom prices starting at Rs 11.99 lakh for the base XE variant and going up to Rs 12.99 lakh for the range-topping XZ+ (O) variant. The car comes with a 26-kWh lithium-ion battery and a new Permanent Magnet Synchronous electric motor that produces 55 kW and 170 Nm of peak torque. The lithium-ion battery has an eight-year warranty.
2. Skoda Kushaq
Starting price – Rs. 10.79 lakh
A compact SUV that will compete with the Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos, Kushaq will be manufactured in India and will be based on the MQB-A0-IN version of Volkswagen Group’s Modular Transverse Toolkit. The new Kushaq will be available in two engines: a 1.0-litre three-cylinder TSI engine and a 1.5-litre TSI engine. The 1-litre engine generates 115 horsepower, while the 1.5-litre engine generates 150 horsepower. With the Kushaq, Skoda has only launched petrol engines. With the car, the company will sell both a six-speed manual and a six-speed automatic transmission. A seven-speed DSG transmission will also be available for the SUV.
Volkswagen Taigun
Staring price – Rs. 10.54 lakh
This is a mid-size SUV from the German carmaker and will compete against the Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos. The car’s design and styling is based on the global-spec VW T-ROC SUV. The car comes with features such as an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, all-digital instrument console, connected car technology, wireless charging, electrically adjustable drivers’ seat, automatic AC, sunroof and cruise control.
New-gen Force Gurkha
Starting price – Rs. 13.59 lakh
The car is one of the leading off-road SUVs in this affordable price range. It comes with a 2.6L turbo-diesel engine that generates 91 PS and 250 Nm, and will be paired with a 5-speed manual transmission. It also comes with a four-wheel-drive system, with a low-ratio transfer case and manual locking differentials (front and rear).
Mahindra XUV700
Starting price – Rs. 12.49 lakh
The much-awaited Mahindra’s XUV700 was unveiled on August 14th at 4 p.m. The AX3 petrol trim will cost 13.99 lakh. The AX5 petrol variant has been at 14.99 lakh, (all prices ex-showroom).
