Get Petrol, Diesel Home Delivered! This Tata-Backed Startup Is Redefining Petrol Pumps
We are living in the world of e-commerce. Everything from books to food to groceries can be delivered to your doorstep. Then why not Fuel? This was the same question that was troubling the founders of Repos Energy who were interested in solving a unique problem. They took the matter into their own hands and finally came up with Repos Energy. Mr. Ratan Tata saw the unique problem Rapos Energy was catering to and is backing them up.
Now you will get fuel delivery at your doorstep
Repos Energy, with the backing of Mr. Ratan Tata, has launched a mobile petrol pump that will allow corporate entities and individuals to order doorstep diesel delivery. Recently, the company announced the launch of Repos 2.0 Beta mobile petrol pump. To generate brand recognition. The beta will travel through multiple cities across India.
As of now, the mobile petrol pump has a capacity of up to 3,000 liters. It can also fulfill orders as small as 100 liters to customers. Users can book their required amount through the Repos app.
Repos Energy, which was founded three years ago, had earlier indicated that it was planning on manufacturing and selling 3,200 mobile petrol pumps in FY21.
Founders are looking forward to the Energy Distribution revolution
“We are excited about getting on to the next level of growth in our journey so far. There is going to be a growing demand for fuels in the coming years, and we need to be prepared with efficient delivery services preventing wastage and ensuring it is monitored and systematic at the same time. The Beta model is the culmination of countless hours of effort in building a robust framework, and we have done a lot to ensure that the organization has built a solid base. It is now time for an energy distribution revolution,” said Chetan Walunj, co-founder, Repos Energy.
Co-founder Aditi Bhosale Walunj has an ambitious plan for the future, she says “We have a fleet of 320 vehicles out of which over 100 are fully operational and working to deliver fuel across India. But now, our target is to build and sell 3,200 RMPPs in one year.”
The beta will be useful for many petrol pump operators to increase their reach, especially in remote regions of the country. Beta comes with features like geo-fencing and GPS trackers, and to prevent occurring of spills the company has also introduced a feature called ‘Break Interlock’.
