Brochures of the car have been leaked online; this is the first time that the next generation Alto is undergoing a full model change in seven years in select markets like Japan.
Also, in Japan, the upcoming Alto will be employing the same powertrain that is being used under the bonnet of the Hustler.
The images have confirmed that the car will feature a boxy styling and will be equipped with dual-beam projector headlamps, single-piece front fender and bumper, 14-inch multi-spoke alloy wheels, and a small set of tail lights.
It will also be taller than the outgoing model and will have dual-tone paint options.
The car will have a new dashboard layout with a 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system at the centre and AC vents on the side. There will also be a semi-digital instrument cluster, steering-mounted controls and a few other new pieces of equipment.

We recently reported to you that the next generation Alto will be based on the Heartect platform, which is also the inspiration for several recent models, such as Baleno, Wagon R, S-Cross, Ertiga, XL6, S-Presso, and Ignis in India
Coming to the dimensions of the car, the Suzuki Alto Works will be 3395 mm in length, 1475 mm in width, a height of 1500 mm, and a wheelbase of 2465 mm. Also, the current 796 cc F8D three cylinder petrol would be retained and will be producing 47 bhp at 6000 rpm and 69 Nm at 3500 rpm. The new car will also be available in a CNG powered variant, therefore offering the option of increased mileage.
The car’s interior is expected to come improved with bigger proportions and more advanced features as well.
The next generation Alto is all set to make an entry into the market at the end of this year.
