Cognizant Starts Hiring 1.3 Lakh Freshers, Experienced Employees: 50% Minimum Marks Needed


It also plans to hire an additional 45,000 freshers in the country by 2022.

Cognizant has started its Ninja Hiring recruitment campaign.

It is looking to fill over 1 lakh vacancies and to that end will be hiring 1 lakh laterals and 30,000 fresh graduates.

Roles, Important Dates

It says that it has increased the pace of recruitment due to a significant increase in the business environment.

The last date of application submission is 15th September, 2021 (11 PM).

The roles on offer include expertise in infrastructure, hardware and software installations, networking queries and applications.

Eligibility

Candidates must be 3-year graduates from the 2019, 2020 and 2021 batch.

Marks requirement is at least 50% in UG, Diploma, Class XII and X.

Gap period of over 2 years is not allowed.

Campus Hiring Network

Shantanu Jha, Senior Vice President, HR, Cognizant India, said that the company has 150 partner campuses.

It also has relationships with 200+ additional campuses which provide freshers for it to recruit.

Not A Typical Hiring Season

Former Chairman and MD, Cognizant India Ramkumar Ramamoorthy explains that the recent boom in IT recruitment is caused due to the acceleration of digital transformation of large corporations,

This has resulted in “an outsized hiring of talent with new-age skills.”

Big IT firms are returning to double-digit revenue growth and are looking to expand their bases in India.

This has caused what he says is “an unprecedented war for talent.”

Future Plans

It also plans to hire an additional 45,000 freshers in the country by 2022.

If it is to achieve its hiring target, it will have to make offers to 700 people a day and onboard nearly 300 experienced professionals every day.
