Tata Says SIWTF To Maruti Swift! Pokes Fun At Maruti’s Zero Star Rating In Crash Test
Competition in the corporate world is fierce. Each player in the market is trying to up their game. Sometimes even that is not sufficient. You have to make every opportunity count. Sometimes this good healthy banter can attract people’s attention as well.
This is what recently happened when Tata Motors took a dig at Maruti Suzuki for the poor safety rating of the hatchback, Swift.
Tata takes a ‘Swift’ dig
Last week, the made-in-India Maruti Suzuki Swift had failed the Latin NCAP crash test. During this test, it had secured a zero-star rating.
Taking advantage of this opportunity, Tata Motors has taken a fine dig at Maruti Suzuki. For this Tata uploaded a picture on Twitter, mocking Swift’s zero-star rating, with a caption that read:
“Latest NCAP safety test shows that it’s not safe to ride ‘Swift’ly. Yet another reason for you to book New Tiago – the #SeriouslyFun hatchback rated 4 stars for safety by Global NCAP.”
A regular banter for Tata Motors
To highlight its safety features, in the past also, Tata has targeted its rivals for poor safety ratings. In the past, the Indian carmaker has taken a dig at the Maruti S-Presso, WagonR as well as the Hyundai Grand i10 Nios.
It should be noted that Swift failed the Latin NCAP crash test, the hatchback had received a 2-star rating in the Global NCAP crash test which was conducted in 2018.
We wonder if we will get to see any response from Maruti Suzuki. We are waiting for it, are you?
