All Indigo Flights From India Banned In Dubai, Abu Dhabi Till This Date: Find Out Why?
IndiGo has been banned from operating flights to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) for a week.
Also in a statement, IndiGo said all flights to UAE stand cancelled till August due to operational issues. For a week, IndiGo will not be able to fly to the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
“We have informed all our passengers and will support them with refunds or accommodation in other flights once we resume operations,” the airline said.
Why IndiGo Has Been Banned For Operating Flights To The UAE?
The suspension, according to sources, began on Tuesday for travellers who had not taken a rapid-PCR test at the departing airport.
And the suspension will last until August 24.
Permanent residents are now allowed to enter the UAE, however, travellers must first undergo an RT-PCR test 48 hours before departure and then another rapid-PCR test at the airport a few hours later.
Rapid PCR Test Requirement
- The requirement for a rapid PCR test went into force on August 5.
- Passengers must obtain a letter of approval from UAE authorities to travel.
- Airline check-in workers at the airport are required to review the test reports.
- Upon arriving in the UAE, the documents are also scrutinised.
