All International Flights From India Banned Till July 31; Except These Flights
As the number of Covid-19 cases in India tumbles down, restrictions on international air travel are expected to ease up too.
Many Indian expatriates currently living in India are eagerly waiting to return to their countries of occupation, as the travel bans lift.
However, in a recent circular published by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) on June 30, the ban on international commercial flights has further been extended till July 31, 2021.
International Travel Ban Extended Till July 31
Due to the outburst of the second wave of Covid-19 pandemic in India, international passenger flights have been suspended by the Government and it was put in place until June 30, 2021.
The ban on international travel has been put up since March 23, 2020 in India due to the onset of the Covid-19 pandemic and was scheduled to lift on 30 June after a 15-month gap.
However, in a circular posted by the aviation watchdog DGCA on Wednesday, the ban on international flights has been extended till July 31, 2021.
While the ban has been extended till July 31, dedicated cargo flights, flights under the bilateral air bubble pacts with select countries will continue to operate.
